Is tegra note 7 really worth it despite being 1 year old? Reason is I am looking for a new one after my old Acer a100 broke and found I could buy the TN7 for 130$ on Newegg. Sure I love the specs being quad 1.8, the speakers, SD micro slot and it can play impressive games like walking dead,GTA and also reicast and ppsspp but still am wondering if it will last long (hopefully will get 3 yrs or so) and that the specs won't become mediocre in six monthes .
Also it is accordingly getting OS 5.0 lollipop

My opinion is to wait and save up for something like the Nexus 9 or Sony Tablet Z3 Compact. Those devices would be much more future proof, better specs with a 1080p screen and better build quality with these manufacturers. Personally I dont like nVidia and was alwauys a AMD guy myself but its my niche. The Tegra Note 7 is a decent mid range tablet but it feels too clunky and plasticy for my personal taste. It sports a 800p 7" screen with large bezels and hiding behind it is a wopping Tegra 4. That SoC is no slouch but seems dummed down with a lower than optimal resolution (IMO) so the IPS display would be a deal breaker for me.

Yeah. Tegra note was a worthwhile purchase up until a few months ago. But now, its really a one horse race when it comes to gaming as mentioned above. Nvidia Shield tablet is head and shoulders above anything at the moment and it will probably be that way for quite a while. Price wise its pretty decent value for money as well. Its the first tablet to realistically be on a par with the PS3 or X360 for graphics and sheer power.

But would you agree that it would probably he the best tablet for gaming under say 300 dollars?
Really I just guess my problem is that I don't think I could spend 300 for a tablet due to the fact I could just but something better for gaming like money towards a PCbuild, a ps4, or even a laptop. Ultimately I guess I can't pay more than 200 and I no that isn't much but do you think tn7 is good for 130 to were it could last untilI save up maybe the future (say a year) to get a k1 (or whatever comes next)?
