I have bricked my Nintendo DS system (original/phat/fat) with flashme. The flashing only got to 2% and then got powered off. I used a DSTT cartridge for the flashing. I cannot replace the BIOS because, unlike the DS Lite, the BIOS is permanently attached to the circuit board. Interestingly, I can run normal DS cartridges by holding Start and Select, but when I do this with the DSTT cartridge, it gets stuck on the loading screen. I have tested the same cartridge on another DS, and it works normally.

if you have one handy i'd try booting from a slot 2 flashcard with SELECT held at boot...

Unfortunately, I do not have a slot 2 flashcard. Is there any you could recommend that could work for my situation. I would really appreciate it if you could.

ez-flash IV should do the trick if you can obtain one else possibly try this

I'll get back to you after I try the link you have provided. Thank you in advance and thank you for your time.

If I have to buy a new flashcart to fix my DS, should I opt for a slot 1 device or slot 2 device? Also, do you think r4 Revolution would work?

Bumping won't help - you've already received an answer for your question. Your safest bet (to my knowledge) would be a SLOT-2 device.

I vaguely remember getting recovery mode to work on an original R4 (2nd edition, with no CD or spring-ejected microSD) by somehow replacing _DS_MENU with a ROM...
