Sorry for being a complete noob at the moment (lol), but i must have downloaded Luigi's mansion like 5 times, but i'm still unavailable to play it. When i load it up, it shows the red Nintendo logo screen with black background, and it says "Nintendo" in creepy ghost voice delayed about 5 seconds, and i hear the wii doing something, but that's about it, it just stalls there and (presumably) freezes..what am i doing wrong? cuz i don't have a clue, lol. and the thing is, my game iso file is only 191,139 KB, is that normal? it seems way too low to be playable, but i can easily run it on a dolphin emulator on my laptop..and i used DiosMiosToolbox to shrink/compress it or whatever to make it playable on the wii, but i guess not, lol..halp? Oh, and i also have PostLoader, USBLoader GX, and WiiFlow, which one would be the best one to use? sorry if it seems like alot, just wanna play it and am clueless, lol :P Oh, and i have like 4 other gamecube games that run perfectly, so idk whats wrong with LM.

have you installed dios mios? you need that to play gc games. I'm no expert on it but looked on youtube and such for tutorials and it wasn't too hard

read the entire post before reply, #l24rnh0wt0f0rum2014

he said 4 of other gamecube games work perfectly, and he wouldn't be able to see the logo of the game (and the creepy sound) unless he had dios mios\nintendont

I've played Luigi's Mansion using Nintendont and it runs fine. I can't vouch for Dios Mios b/c I'm on a Wii U now but at least you know you have an option.

Update: The file size I have for the game is also 191,139 KB and the MD5 is 1f1b25857461f5bf00c5ed8c19b877b0. I also use DMToolbox so I will assume that the file size isn't your problem.

yeah, i was looking at Nintendont, but have never installed/used it yet, i'll try that and see how it goes, thx ^_^ ...Ok, when i download Nintendont from the Code.google page, all it's giving me is a loader.dol file, is that all i have to put in a "Nintendont" folder on my SD card? I also downloaded the icon.png and it says to put a meta.xml with it, but when i click on it to download, it takes me to a page with just some lines of texts..

As it says under the download link on https://code.google.com/p/nintendon-t/ "Put it in /apps/Nintendont/ (along with meta.xml and icon.png) and rename it boot.dol." You don't need to worry about meta.xml, it'll create one the first time you run it. And yes, those lines of text are the meta.xml. If you really want to download it you need to right click the link and go to save as.

ok, when i load Nintendont, i get an error that says "This version of IOS58 is not supported" but i updated it from Multi-Mod Manager..and before that, it was saying AHBProt (or whatever) isnt enabled, but i created the meta.xml file with the files in the nintendont folder..sometimes i think all this is just too much to understand..but oh well, lol

Wow, that is definitely an issue. You're using an actual Wii and not a Wii U correct? Use IOS58 Installer to get the correct version of the IOS and BE SURE to read the instructions. You'll need to reinstall the homebrew channel after you use it and a lot of people like to skip this part. After you do this though you should be golden. This may actually fix your Dios Mios problem, let me know if it does.

Can you run syscheck to verify that it's installed properly?

Hey...im back, lol, but yeah, i ran it and it says: IOS58 (rev 6175) USB 2.0, whatever that means,
I'm now having issues with Paper Mario Thousand Year Door (freezing up on startup and not letting me play at all, even though i was playing like an hour of it before it froze, and now it wont work anymore )and it's really getting annoying... Oh, and just curious, do you have to compress/format the original game (or any game for that matter) iso before putting it in the /GAMES folder, or can u just put the whole iso in without doing anything to it?
