Morning guys!

Yesterday I tried to download and play SSB, update installed as well. Problem is I never get past a loading screen after the main menu. It just either keeps on loading or crashes all together. The SD card is a factor we can leave out the equation, because that is a brand new 8GB card..

Any help?

Edit: Using Gateway, launcher 2.3, emuNAND completely updated.

so the game loads (i.e gets to the main menu) but crashes elsewhere,a few trouble shooting steps
-if you have it as a .3dz, try renaming it to .3ds, to see if your header is causing issues,
-try copying it on the card again
-delete the update and re-download it
-get another copy of the game

What SD card do you have on the side of your 3DS? When I tried to run it, it always blackscreened. After some online searching found a lot of ppl saying to switch to a 4GB or higher SD card. Went this morning and got a class 10 8GB SD card. Booted the ROM. After some 20-30 seconds, the loading FINALLY popped up, a save was created, and I even played online.

Yes, and when people say sd card it means the big one in the side of your 3ds not the micro sd in your flashcart.

I've seen people abbreviate, misunderstand, or sometimes read too fast and mix up the two, I figured to add redundancy and explicitly mention "on the side" to avoid this.

Morning guys! The card I meant is indeed the larger one meant for the 3DS itself.
Onto the troubleshooting: let me complete those steps (it was a .3ds file bytheway!

I get to the main menu, I start a match and it just keeps on loading and loading and loading and loading and loading :P

This is a concept unbeknownst to the common GBAtemp pirate :ha:

I do own quite a large collection of games, but due to my study I am currently unable to shell out big bucks for games. However, as soon as I get my first paycheck I will probably buy the game anyhow :)
