the homebrew loader we're about to release will require you to have a specific retail game. the game is also on eShop but not in all regions

(saying this because i'm getting flooded about requirements. now you know. the game is old and cheap, i got 4 copies for like $30)
 Twitter

Also, it seems its better to update to the latest version 8.1.0-19, there's no advantage on staying on 7.X
Let the speculations begin :yaynds:

*plea to keep thread open*

I really think there should be one thread open for general ssspwn discussion (i guess this one). The only ssspwn thread that hasn't already been closed is smea's menu contest. That forces a lot of awkward off-topic chat.

Didnt saw that :S Sorry, go ahead and delete the thread. My bad.

Maybe it should be better if that thread was made by smea himself, so he can update the first post.

btw for the people thinking the "sss" in ssspwn related to the game, it doesnt as it was called ssspwn before he was using a game as the entry point

one more note is that it will most likely be a game that loads files from the SD card, for people to be able to use it it wouldnt be a save game hack as the only methods for signing saves atm require CGSE which only works for japanese games.....so i imagine with a enough looking into it you could probably figure out what game it is

It has to be a game with lower than 4.0 on the cart, and available in E, U and J. Also available as an eShop game and can be picked up on cart cheaply.

Doesn't leave too many actually. Potential candidates as far as I can see that fit the criteria:

Reel Fishing Paradise 3D (Known as Fish Eyes 3D in Japan)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon - Shadow Wars
Resident Evil - Revelations (Known as Biohazard Revelations in Japan)
Crush 3D (Known as Nightmare Puzzle: Crush 3D in japan)
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D
Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D (Known as Biohazard The Mercenaries 3D in Japan)
Freakyforms Deluxe - Your Creations, Alive! (Known as Oomori! Ikimonodzukuri: Creatoy in Japan)
3D Game Collection: 55-in-1 (Known as Game Zanmai in Japan)
Super Monkey Ball 3D
Shinobi

All these games can be gotten for less than £7 ($12) After that prices jump up a bit.

I'm gona go out on a limb and say it's one of the Tom Clancy games but that's just my hunch :)

will the retail work? god knows Nintendo will scramble like Roaches to pull the game off the eShop as soon as this site announces it. I bet Nintendo reps subscribe to this site and are lurkers

If it's this then i'm going to send smea nudes.
The one game on that list that I have.

I have RE: Revelations and Crush 3D from here, but I think only games that load stuff from SD (not saves, I mean separate files) are viable. Any picks?

Keep in mind that the game needs to load data (in some way) from the SD card (be it custom stages, replays, etc...)
