I have my Wii taken apart with only the disc drive motherboard attached so I can't test out a GC disc. It did this once before then just went away.. not sure how or why.

I use Wiiflow with Dios Mios to load my GC games from my hard drive. I've tried changing the game's video settings, DVD patch, widescreen patch, almost every setting and it loads about 40 pixels off center to the right. It loads Wiiflow and Wii games correctly, but when it goes into GC mode it goes off screen. Even the Dios Mios logo is off centered. I've also tried turning on/off the Wii, unplugging everything, etc. No luck.

I've tried googling this and haven't gotten any results, but maybe it's because I'm wording it poorly. Not sure what it's called when something is off center.

I'm not sure if this is related but on my TV I've noticed that ALL GameCube games (DM(L), devolution OR retail disk) show with a very small black border on both sides of the screen (No idea of what the pixel count is) and this can't be changed by any of the video settings. My screen is widescreen and all Wii stuff, air television stuff and even my DVD player image show correctly but it's JUST GameCube games that do that. My screen doesn't adjust automatically between widescreen and normal screen sized images and even then the border is too small for it to be that.

I just ended up assuming that the GC's video mode was a little different or something. No technical backing for that assumption, though.

That's very odd. I've tried changing my widescreen settings as well, no luck. I also tried changing the offsets in the Wiiflow settings but that also did nothing. Worried it might be a soldering problem, but the only soldering I've done to the board is to the power plugin for a battery and power cord for my screen. Shouldn't affect anything like that. Might have to put together my wii drive again and test a retail disk.

Edit: So my disc drive is in no condition to be put back together.. hahah. I think it must be some poor solder connections to the power... gonna unsolder everything and leave just the original plugin and see how it goes.

Hi there,

I have the exact same problem. Any solution yet? Happens on both dios mios and devolution.

Odd, My wii has a mind of it's own. For months dios mios hasnt worked with my gc controller (devoloution has) then, without any intervention on my end, dios mios starts to work with my gc controller but at a cost. Now all gc games are off centered, to the far right. Lol

i have same problem, pls tell me how you can restore center screan? what games you run from diskchannel, for restore position dios mios?

Have you tried running games via Nintendont or Devo to see if you get the same result?

I know this thread is old as hell, but I'm having the same problem. Other than soniccomcisbr no one has said they've fixed the problem. I tried reinstalling MIOS v10 and it didn't help at all.

With Nintendont, the game still loads and is playable when loading ISOs despite being off centre. When I try using NeoGamma however, it freezes when it says "Launching game..."

Something to note, in NeoGamma whenever it was loading a game before, it said "English" for system language and now it says "unknown(118)". It also said PAL under video region previously despite always loading in NTSC mode. Now it says NTSC for video region and freezes.

I haven't made any changes to my system other than getting my Wii to boot directly to the homebrew channel along with installing Priiloader. I'm pretty certain this has nothing to do with Gamecube mode.

If anyone has the same problem, or even better yet has solved it, PLEASE post something regarding the problem. It's driving me nuts.

Edit:

Thought I should mention I also tried reinstalling NeoGamma. None of the results changed because of it.

Bump and update:

NeoGamma works again. Still haven't had a chance to try an official GC disc, but when I get them out of storage I'll provide another update.

Now the only problem seems to be the screen display offset. Everything's playable, but it's a huge pain in the butt, especially if you're OCD.
