To avoid this problem you just need to copy the files all at once, or defragment the Micro SD.

happens because like the old PS2 hard drive mod days it requires the data be IN ORDER. Best thing to do, DONT delete and replace games. Format the card. And just add games. Never remove them. Just keep adding to the card/

Just unzip files using winrar straight to your Micro-SD card drive, don't drag and drop them from your desktop etc... This works for me flawless, have not had a problem since.

Bringing this topic to the front page again...

I had this error after copying 3 more games to no exFAT microSD. Never deleted a game, just added.

So, I downloaded Defraggler (free software from Piriform, same company that created CCleaner - there's also a portable version) and defragmented the microSD. It took quite a while to finish (probably - I dunno for sure as I put it to defrag, waited 20 minutes until it reached 7% and went to bed). Next day I removed the microSD and tried it. Everything's perfect now.

So, defragmenting the microSD definitely works. It even made the ROMs load faster.

Cheers!

When i meet Fragmentation Error, i just cut that game (not del) then unrar a new one straight to my micro SD again, after that everything is OK B-)

What I did was to format it in fat32 instead of exfat and it worked for me. The only thing is that you have to split big files.

Thank you !
I was sure I just have Fat32 , but Ill check it again :) (at work atm)
I think the option to format to exfat only appears for SD cards over a certain size (mostly because it would be useless for anything under 4GB or so, FAT32 would work just as well)

Another thing that seems to work as well with me is to refresh your Micro SD card before copying over a new file, just right click of mouse on drive window and refresh but tbh this error seems to come and go with me with the same rom, one minute it will drop to the card all good and then the next go it comes up wit the error, it seems to be very spasmodic. I still think it maybe an issue I don't know for sure that needs fixing by GW. GW say it is down to cheap, dodgy, clone MSD cards but mine check out 100% legit but still error.
