Hacking Gateway Omega ROM dumping questions

I was wondering if anyone tried dumping a ROM from a game they own and playing online with the dumped ROM.

Also, would it be possible to extract your save files from the gamecart? (I suppose not if the save files are in different formats)

You cannot extract your save file from the cartridge with the software Gateway provided (sadly). You will need an R4 Save Dongle to do this.

So i couldnt say buy or barrow pokemon x/y dump it and play online with the dump then sell the game afterwards? well it did sound too good to be true

For me and a few others, the save was "corrupt", despite having a 4.5 KeyY. I had to use Up+X+B to delete the save, though you don't know until you try.

but there is no problem with losing saav files with cart 1 games right , just x y and ACNL

weatMod if you mean transferring saves, it doesn't seem like you can do it with any game at the moment, but as far as save games working once saved in GW mode I've had no problems with the 26 on my MicroSD.

Just 3DS games, I believe. To dump DS games without any special PC hardware, you'd need a DS and a slot-2 flashcart to dump straight to SD or a slot-1 cart (like the blue GW card) to dump it over wifi.

Yeah, I know how to do it over wifi, just thought if gateway would do it that would be a nice bonus. As is, it's easier to just download DS games than bother with those ripping methods, even if that makes them "illegal".
