my 3ds always get black screen when the red card is inserted when I open on anyone got the same problem?

Did you update to Omega? Any issues when updating? Where did you insert the red card? Up your butt? Why can't you provide more details? Any mSD card inserted into red card?

Provide as much details as you can otherwise how on earth do you expect people to help?

I updated to omega inserted the red card to my 3ds and power on and the black screen occur when I remove it it will boot to the original system. I can still can to the gateway mode via the gateway sselection menu just that I have to remove the red card when I power on and insert it when it is at the gateway selection menu

Literally just got finished playing it. From what I can tell, Fragmentation errors occur with a bad rom dump. Either find a different rom or dump it yourself.
I think it's something to do wth exFAT and FAT32, just try switch from exFAT to FAT32 and it work perfectly

Does anyone get fragmentation error when try to run Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney ?

FOUND A FIX.

If you want to stay on exFAT for obvious benefits. Use the included rom splitter tool. It will 'generate' another a 3d0 file which can be used in lieu of your original rom file.

Pokemon didn't work for me at all but now it does.

I haven't had any fragmentation issues and I even tried with a bad dump, which booted but caused an internal error. I then downloaded the proper dump and it's working now (after months of having the wrong rom).

As an update, I booted up PokeX on my GW and have a legit PokeY on another 3DS.

The rom and retail cart can communicate via local wireless. Game Chat works.

So I'm trying to update. I've copied the Omega files to the Blue Card, then I've put the card into my 3DS, turned it on and gone into DS Profile. From there, I see the Gateway logo briefly and then both the top and bottom screen get horizontal lines on them and it just sits there. Anyone else having this problem?

So actually, because we have counterfeit gateway photos now, we can assume, that those "real" gateway bricks could happened not on real gateways.

This is going off topic, but I'll answer it anyhow. The bricks were on real carts too. Devin for one had his Gateway shipped from the team themselves. gamesquest1 also tested it multiple times with a legit cart.

Am I even doing this right? Am I missing a step?

1. Put files from "Blue Card (r4i)" onto a micro SD then into Blue GW card
2. Put into DS and launch DS Profile mode
3. Once the 3DS menu appears, put replace contents of micro SD with "luancher.dat"
4. Put it into the red GW card

I'm afraid I can't follow the instructions included, is this right so far? What now? Can anyone post some proper steps?

Just follow the PDF that comes with the launcher, it's not complicated at all.

OK, I followed it. I update my 3DS, put the launcher.dat in my red one and boot Gateway mode as I have in the past. Firstly, at no point do I see the big red Omega logo. Secondly, when I try to launch Pokemon X, it just says the save data is corrupt. Trying to delete the data just creates an error that requires I restart my 3DS. Are there special steps required to play Pokemon X? Or have I not installed properly? Am I meant to be writing games to my Micro SD with older versions, or just copying the .3DS file straight to the SD card? Do I have to update my NAND or whatever or boot Pokemon through a special menu?

Sure, it may not be complicated, but it isn't working for me and the best way to find out is if someone can post some step by steps so I can compare what I did.

Forget what you have been doing and just follow the instructions in the picture...

If you haven't got it, you are doing it wrong.

To quote my own post again:

"OK, I followed it."

It's still not working. Am I meant to be seeing a new menu after launching launcher.dat through DS profile? Is there a special way to launch games?

Mate, calm down. Seriously, just look at the picture and follow the instructions, don't rush your thoughts, do every step slowly, verifying every one of it with the actual instructions... and just don't keep doing what you have been doing, that's your mistake.

Edit: Or maybe you are describing what you are doing wrong?

I keep getting an error when trying to upgrade my Gateway Card is anyone else having this problem or have a solution? (I may just be doing something wrong. :p)

Yes, there are reports of fake Gateway cards that can't be updated, but maybe there's a legitimate error in the launcher. There's a post about it in this subforum, which cointains pictures to identify if your card is "fake".

Yeah, I've done it. I've followed the instructions. Pokemon X is still not working, and I'm trying to work out why. I'm asking a SIMPLE QUESTION: what am I meant to be seeing in this new Gateway firmware that will help me differentiate it from the old firmware? A logo anywhere? Because some people posted screenshots of a logo earlier and I'm not seeing them.

I'm trying to work out if my issue is the ROM (as it's very old) or if I simply haven't updated properly. I asked a simple question: am I meant to be seeing a logo, and you're supplied me with irrelevant responses.

I've had these a couple times, just give it time it normally boots into Gateway mode, although at times it freezes and you have to turn off the DS and start over. It's probably linked with the quality of your SD card.

Pfft, first of all you are saying that you "updated your 3DS" WTF is that supposed to mean? you updated the NAND to 7.1? Then you are saying that you are putting the launcher in the red card, seriously?. If you want help, at least post what you are doing correctly.
