I'm sorry, but if someone gets banned for being a cheating douche, they deserve it; I hope Action Replay doesn't ruin others' experience. Anyway, other homebrew would be fine by me :D :P

Action replay won't come for a long time, but an Action Replay-esque program for people taking part in this current exploit won't take long to come. I doubt you'll have to worry much about cheaters on Mario Kart 7 for a looong time. And if you do see someone cheat, they won't be cheating for very much longer after the encounter.

I'm going to be smart and wait for an IP/MAC/3DS ID spoofer before having fun cheating online.

We would still need a easy method of updating to 6.3 for those of us on 4.x

Pokemon X/Y comes with 6.3. :)

All I want is a decent Snes emulator since Nintendo is too lazy to do it themselves, and possibly GBA emulation to one-up the 3DS Ambassadors ;) (3DS XL is better anyways) :rofl2:

Bit confused about the kernel stuff on this end.

If Gateway gets their hands on this, is it theoretically possible for Gateway to run on 6.3?
The secondary exploit that smealum found is not kernal mode -- its code execution in userland mode. This means that piracy will not be possible in this state as you cannot patch Nintendo's AP with userland code.

However, this new opening could allow GW to possibly snoop around and find a new kernel vulnerability and re-enable warez for 6.3. But if one doesn't exist then it's no issue.

The GBA ambassador games do not work with emuNAND. Sucks too, because I had them system transferred from another 3DS and could only transfer to emuNAND.

Oh those'll happen in no time.

Trying to 1-Up us old-timers?! What if we don't like big screens, chump!! Have fun without your GBA games, fool! :ha:

Well if you look a few pages back, someone said they blocked the usermode exploit, 'leading' to the kernel exploit, but not the kernel exploit itself.

I'm sure 7.x will get at very least gateway use.

I'd assume this is a good thing... https://twitter.com/smealum/status/450045044511502336

I should reiterate, Snes emulators based off of Snes9x 1.52, so that we actually have good sound emulation for once lol.

a good 3d VirtualBoy emulator?

anyways, good job smea. i dont want all of this, i want the HOMEBREW app [like the homebrew channel on the wii] for homebrew apps and maybe, in the far future, 3DSFlow :) [if u know what i mean ;)]

A certain website just linked to this thread, and already people that saw it are reporting it to Nintendo as we speak.

Kotaku? IGN? Which site? Always leave it to some other twat on another site to ruin the fun. Would you be so kind as to reveal the website?
