Okey, this is weird. But Datel asks me if I can send my game to them so they can hack it?
Lets start from the beginning:

Mario Kart 7 EU does have power saves. Only my version (and the version from lots of other people) does not seem to work (yet).
My game code is: LNA-CTR-AMKP-EUR

Here is a picture of my game:

And this is the error I see when trying to get my save edited:

So yeah. I contacted Datel and now they ask me if I can send my game to them so they can look at the game. Would you do this? I mean... Not that I think Datel is a scam...

I suppose how else will they be able to find the difference between the versions and get the cheats working, if they do not have them physically to compare? The better question I would have is how long would they need your card for? And what assurance can they give you that if anything should happen to your card, they will take responsibility for it. If you can live for the time frame that they estimate, plus probably a few weeks more, then I would not see any problem with 'lending' it to them. Ultimately it would get you, and others, the cheats you desire.

Yeah I think the issue is that they can't really tell what copy is what if they just try to buy one from eBay so it's better for them to get hold of a "known to be not working copy" rather than buying a bunch of different copies trying to find the elusive version XD

You never know they may throw you a freebie or something  .....although really offering to make codes especially for you is fairly decent of them :ha:

From what I seen in another thread Nintendo didn't give a new cart ID for the new revision so some carts have 1.1 patch built in and other don't it would seem

You can get a sort of idea from the unique serial on the back if it's a old or newer copy

My brother sent them a couple of games some years back for the Playstation because they had stopped buying them (moved onto PS2 I guess), they made a few cheats for him and sent his games back within a week or so.
They didn't need to support him but they were very kind and helpful.

I'm pretty sure they would know what they were talking about if they asked you to send them your game... Why else would they want or need it?
Maybe they just wanted another cartridge to play against each other :rofl2: I don't think so...

say that you send it but first let them pay money for your game.
once you get it back send money back!

also say for sending your copy they have to release legendary unrelease pokemons hoopa volcanion and the vivillons

Me: Hi Sam, could you help me my car has a flat tyre.
Friend: Sure no problem :mthr:
Me: I'm going to use your car while you fix mine because I don't trust you :whip:
Friend: Fix your own damn car!
Me: Thanks for nothing! :teach:
Friend: See you around, if you ever fix you own tyre.
Me: :unsure::cry:

Are they offering any incentive to bother?
If not, obviously don't bother.

They're probably wanting to make codes for his specific game which is pretty cool, I don't see why else they'd want him to send in his game.

I have a Datel thing for the Wii... nice to know that the code that should be included was not.
I don't really trust Datel so much, to be honest...

Surely a company with Datel's resources could track down the relavant version of the game from the bar code/ serial #. DOn't think I'd bother and be without my game.

a bit ungrateful... as long as they pay for shipping it's a fine thing to do

Yes, it's ungrateful to expect a game advertised on the device box as working to work without having to ship them his game.

Or if they somehow can't find it on their own, maybe they should offer to buy his game from him, rather than ask him to lend it to them.
