Hacking R4i Gold wood kernel update question

Hey guys, I just finally got the chance to try the R4i Gold card on my 3DS XL and it's working, it is on kernel 1.60 from what I gather according to the update menu and there is a update for 1.66 available according to this page:

Every time I try and update from 1.60 to 1.66 the kernel via the update menu it doesn't let me.

Here's the pic of the card specs according to the info section on the wood menu:

It's weird, it says 1.64 when going to the update menus it says in the top corner "1.60".

    @Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.

    Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

    @Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

    Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
