mine came in the mail today, earlier than expected saturday morning to monday morning is decent speed from the opposite side of the country.
to answer my own question from before no it can't read original ds savegames.
does anyone know the best way to backup and restore gamesaves from 4th and 5th gen pokemon games?
also if anyone wants me to shiny or clone some of their pokemon i'd be willing to do a few.
I have tried using different usb ports, and restarting. My Windows 8.1 OS is up to date.
Nothing seems to be working
Now this is a man that knows his PC. I applaud.go to "Run"
"Device manager",
Click on "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" tab.
A few USB hubs will appear below the dropdown,
just right click on each of them and "Uninstall".
Slide right in. (the windows 8 slidebar/options thingy)
Settings -> Change PC Settings -> General
-> Advanced Startup -> Troubleshoot -> Advanced options ->
Startup Settings -> Disable Driver Signature Enforcement
(Or follow these steps to restart. Focus is disable driver signature verification

When it starts up, plug the powersaves device properly and allow it to install.

Well, the drivers are signed, so disabling signature enforcement wouldn't do anything. Try using another USB cable. If that doesn't work, and if at all possible, you should try with another PC. If that doesn't work, the problem is almost certainly hardware-based and you'd need to contact the distributor you got the device from.Unfortunately, this method didn't work either. I still get the same error, that the device has malfunctioned and Microsoft doesn't recognize it
When codes download, are they temporarily stored anywhere on your hard drive? I'm curious if you're able to read the codes and possibly make your own to use
thanks, i have a flashcard a ds lite and a ftp server, i'll try nds savegame manager. Not sure if someone answered this already but.. You should be able to modify Black/White 2 atleast it says that it comes with cheats for those games. What I use for backing up and restoring gamesaves is my flashcard, a DS Lite, and a program called NDS Savegame Manager (I think). It needs a FTP server, which I set up on my phone, and use Wi-Fi tethering to make a small wireless network. I probably have some pictures and stuff somewhere which I could PM you.
i have it and both x and y if someone hasnt helped yetanyone with a powesaves working with the pokemon X or y pls send me a pm.
Late reply, but Griseous Orb.Is that a limit imposed by datel or by Nintendo?
I've never heard of items in a Pokemon game being untradeable now, obviously not counting key items.
Not every TID/SID combination is legal (unless that changed with X/Y), not sure if the Powersave takes that into account.By editing only the TID\SID of the Pokemon in XY, Powersaves creates Pokemon that are still legal (aside from the shiny-locked legends).
"Obedience bit" is basically just the Fateful encounter tag, as far as I'm aware. My only indirect involvement with shiny hacking was in 2004 with FRLG IIRC.
It started after someone found ways to make a Mew, Deoxys, Lugia and others but they would not obey trainers orders - regardless of badges. I found the 1-bit fix which I called the Obedient Bit. This somehow led to my brief and minor involvement with KPD's development of pokemonmaker.
What your asking for is too specific especially with the kalos native mark. Unless they can also alter the location too no way thats gonna be a legit pokemon. At this point its best to wait for a pokegen program, its already been proven someone outside of Datel can decrypt the savefiles just a matter of time now.hmm...the shiny code seems nice and a big thanks to everyone sending emails.
has anyone emailed them asking about a pokemon nature and/or IV modifying code ?
* or even the blue pentagon code *
That is definitely doable since that can be just added into the slot 1 of PC or so. The only problem Datel is having is having it legit such as its caught location and correct levels, moves, abilities, etc. Only one person has that info and hes highly against pirating/cheating.Do you think it's possible for codes for the event trio? Or would that be another thing best for a pokegen program?
