Hacking GW multirom demo

Whelps.. This and smealum's homebrew demo make me begin to regret not staying on 4.5
I doubt a new exploit will be found on the newer firmwares, but there's always that glimmer of hope.. It really sucks that the 3DS scene is stuck on this firmware, but I guess it happens. Who knows, maybe someone will reveal something at 31c3 this year.

Yep video is impressive but major conser is still brick code. 3ds flash cards are really different than ds ones and much more compilicate.

Considering that their last release was 1 month ago, I wouldn't be surprised if they release it at any point in the next two weeks. Especially since this whole bricking fiasco might be forcing Gateway's hand to get the latest firmware out to appease the dumb masses and force them to talk about the new features of 2.0 instead of how much they such for including bricking code. As for me, I don't care about multi-rom, and over they years, I found that having something like that (having every game at your fingertips) actually makes me play less.

That is why I support Gateway, they deliver every time. Gateway are the first and only flashcard for 3DS. Support the innovators, not the imitators!

But will they deliver your 3DS back after its been bricked and they repair it


In all seriousness though, I wont be using 2.0 Final untill its been shown clear of kill code.
I get why they did it, but it shouldnt be affecting legit users, they fucked up thier own kill code.

and the whole bricking thing, why would any company(even evil doers like GW) ruin their customer base? That's just stupid to kill your own income source. And yea yea legitimate GW users got bricked? Haven't seen one. And yes Devin says he got bricked but really, should you believe everything and everybody you have ever thought was a "legitimate source"? I dont personally know the guy and who knows if he tried a patched loader and is just saying it was official GW files. Not that I'm bashing him cause he seems to be legit, and goddammit I love his reviews.

Yep bricking case is still there and that confuses me because i also downloaded eshop games and ambassador games too

I don't think they'll make the same mistake twice.
If you can think GW user brick with final 2.0 will be bad reputation for GW then they can think so too so they will:
1. Still keep brick code but be extra sure it won't backfire this time or
2. Remove brick code completely or
3. Make new brick code will brick clone FC or SD card instead of 3DS.
From what they have done so far, we can assume they coding is really good so none of above is too far fetch for them.
As a GW user, I think I'll trust them this time.

Damn, this almost makes me want to start using my Gateway. A built-in menu like that is cool as balls. They're still dodging the bricking question though, which scares me.

When this comes out, I'll be waiting patiently for some trusted people here to take a peek inside the firmware for us. If everything checks out, and the bricks stop, I'll use it.

I'm really excited about this! I just hope this doesn't mean another months wait time and more issues along the way...

Yep that Devin case make me wonder is code random flaws that make miss and bricks legit users. Gw coders has talent but still some part of me still aware.

I've read the forums but that doesn't mean I believe it. Trolls are everywhere and just because you or anyone else says the source is legit doesn't mean a damn thing. That's like saying there's a lawyer that never lies. Which you know there maybe a lawyer that doesn't lie but he sure as hell will bend the truth to get others to believe what he wants. Like I was saying I'm not bashing Devin at all or anyone on the forum for that matter. Unless physical evidence or my friend irl shows me it was bricked by GW file then I'm taking it with a grain of salt.

that being said I reiterate the main point of my previous post, if you're going to do something illegal be prepared to be punished for it at some point. (or get away Scott free with it XP )

Dude 3DS is just hitting its stride with software.....the system just got to about 40+ mil units this holiday and 2014 has a lot of greats coming including new Yoshi, Mario Golf, Bravely Default (in north America), SSB, another Ace Ventura game, the first persona game on Nintendo.............plus expect 3rd party to pick up as Vita has sold like 6mi in 2 years and 3DS is the only viable portable to develop on.......Look at PS360 and how its best games came out in its last year as current tech 2013.........so 3DS still has 2-3 more years of great content coming to be sure
