Up to you. I personally think it will be easier to sell the updated 3ds and get a 4.x one while there are still some around.

Just go with whatever is in your gut dude, I'm sure there's no exploit for 6.3 though.

I imagine there be threads just like this for 8.x, 9.x, 10.x....
