you can grab the update data for the above games on your console now, should you wish to avoid errors, crashes, loss of save data in the future should a way to play a games become available.

you can get all of the update data above by going to the E-shop and searching for "Update" and then selecting the games and Downloading them to the SD card.

Can you download those patches without owning the game? I'd like to download the 1.1 patch for X/Y but I don't have the retail card

if you have a gateway with a patchable game installed on the microsd the eshop will recognise it as a retail cart and you can patch.

If memory serves, they're saved to the system itself.

yes it just saves them to the SD card encrypted to your 3DS
works fine, Red/EmuNAND and Origional NAND too

Wait... don't ever go into the settings? You would have to eventually if you ever restarted your 3DS or had to change something in EmuNAND settings... seems kinda pointless then unless you stayed in sleep mode your entire life.
