Only games that use NAND show that they use the card2 reference in 3DS Explorer. All other than that all games are required to use EEPROM. Nintendo has been reducing developer options in save types for a while now.

So what does this mean? Will more games not be using NAND? Kinda confused about this.

You only need to run the rom through 3DS Explorer to see if the game uses NAND or not.

Maybe, maybe not. We will likely get a few more games.

3DS Explorer doesn't work with the retail carts; just roms, saves and other files.
