Hacking Gateway 3DS Going to be Useless Soon

Dont get me wrong i just got a gateway yesterday and i love it... but lets real. If they dont come up with something all new games from now on wont run on gateway because they all will be build in SDK 5+ right?

I only play professor layton and new super mario 2 i dont really care about the other games... the only ones i want to play is Pokemon X and the new zelda witch are pretty the ones that dont work. Thats a bummer....

So are we going to be stuck with all the old roms?
What's the future? what do you guys think ?
Is there any possibility in a near future to play future games?
 
i think fw 4.2 is gonna be like the 3.55 fw for sony ps3. seems to be the only fw to exploit. wish they can hack latest fw, or find a way to perhaps patch the games so they don't check for firmware version on the system. Maybe many months from now they will find a way to by-pass. This is just a start i guess.
 
Yup, GW 2.0 should be able to play all of those without any problems. Of course new issues might pop up in the future, but for now, that should work.
 
You gotta have patience bro, things take time. Just can't expect the Gateway Team to make these desired features immediately

I have read all about GW 2.0 but so what? Emunad? that dont give as the function to run new roms only retail games and eShop.
They are working on a fix for MH4 and PokemonX. Yeah thats awesome but how about the new games like zelda and upcoming ones SDKed in 5.x ?
Ate they going to release a new revision 2.1 2.2 2.4 for fix every new game released? Do you guys think thats what will happen?

I am new on the 3DS/GW Community so forgive me if i say something crazy :)

I don't think you understand what games with SDK 5.0+ means or what 2.0 does.... read a little then come back.
 
Because they can "reboot into" emulated NAND they have a "virtual custom firmware" with ported patches for backup loading. Don't know what the hell OP is talking about... This is all information that is right there on the gateway homepage.
 
Just ignore the trolls, they are like those apocalypse prophecy people who in the end always get shown for the idiots they are. (When the Rapture doesn't happen.)
 
People no longer use any search feature on the internet... even the official GW site has a FAQ about this.
