Hacking Please help trying to config my gateway 3ds

Currently, Gateway 3DS card only support 3DS V4.00, 3DS V4.3.0, 3DS V4.4.0, 3DS V4.5.0.

Im on firmware 4.10 E-8. Does this mean I need to update? The PDF says 4.1-4.5

I just installed the files on the bluecard, Installed gateway. Succesfull.

Then I copied all the same files that were on that microsd to the Internal SD card of the 3ds. + the launcher.dat

Then I launched GW mode I think by going in settings and pressing Nintendo DS Profile. Not sure if this is one time use or need to do it everytime?I got returned to 3DS main menu btw after this not sure if this is normal.

Ok so I used win32diskimager-v0.9 to write my 3ds image to my newly formatted flashcard (with panasonic formatter size format: on) it was unreadable after in windows explorer and asked for format. Eventhough win32disk image said write succesfull.

So I tried it in the red card, and booted up. Nothing showed.

Im kinda clueless now what to try 0_0 Please assist thanks!

(do I also need all the Gateway files to copy on the Microsd that goes in the red gatewaycard?)

You only need to copy launcher.dat to root folder

The exploit (After you do nintendo DS profile) makes a gray screen, then black and reboot into home menu. If your 3DS do that then it's good. Gateway works with your firmware. Maybe you just restarted the 3DS ? You need to do the Nintendo DS profile each time you want to use the gateway.

well it cant hurt I guess to have launcher.dat and the install files on internal 3DS SD card. But I made sure of it anyway.

Hmmm Seems I managed to get it running! thanks! Don't I ever need to install the blue card again for playing ONLY 3ds games? (already own dstwo) So I can just install games on the microsd that goes into the blue card?

Just restart your 3DS and it'll be back to normal.

You need to use blue card each time you start a DS or DSi mode game.

It seems that you deactivated GW mode, maybe you turned off your console before inserting the red cart. Please, follow the instructions given to you by the users who have answered you.

As for your last question, if you have DS or DSi games (eShop DSi), everytime you use one of those, the DS hack is deactivated and you'll need to reactivated via blue cart again.

(savegames are stored internal SD right? in root? Like .sav files? )

On your 3DS's SD. Should be in a folder.

(Saves should be on the root of your 3DS' SD card. Not in a folder for future reference.)

what class speed microsd card are you using, thanks, i can get everything up and running but the 3ds games, nothing is showing on the red card

Can i acces the Eshop still and if not what is holding me back?

thanks, ive tried 3 different class 4 cards and none seem to work, so im thinking its maybe the card, i'll have a watch of your youtube video and see if what im doing is right (which i think i am)

You can't acces eshop because eShop force you tu update. The retail games doesn't store saves like that, in retail games there is an EEPROM chip which is used for saving (For AC:NL and maybe pokemon X/Y it's a nand but all the time the save is in the retail cart itself, not inside the 3DS memory or SD card)

they are all legit and none are fake, ive been using them in phones for a few years.
