I've checked the thread and supposedly, the fix would be taking the SD card off, turn the game on, save somewhere else then put the SD card back in. Of course, that doesn't solve the problem for digital copies, but hey, it's a start. Now we wait for the inevitable patch. Also, it apparently only happens when Lumiose is still in blackout.

Edit: Nevermind, apparently it can also happen after fixing the power plant.

"Heads up, Pokemon Trainers: according to multiple player reports, a game breaking bug has been found in Pokemon X and Y's Lumiose City.

The problem, which is apparently rendering player's files irreversibly corrupt, seems to occur after saving in the region. Players are reporting on forums that their 3DS became unresponsive after trying to load the save file, and there is no solution other than to delete and start over. You can check out a video of the bug corrupting a player's 3DS below (via Game Informer). The bug is being reported across both European and Japanese versions of the game."

Funny if this turns into a exploit.

Note: This only seems to apply to saving OUTSIDE in Lumiose City. You can save in any of the indoor places because the game handles them just like any other area. I assume this bug has to do with how much extra work went into the outside areas of Lumiose.

As far as I know, the people who had this bug saved near the Cab. I didn't have this bug myself luckily and I did save a couple of times near Lumiose city.

There's a fix for it. Mash the Home button when the game loads the save, supposedly, it gives the game more time to load the area and avoids the freeze.

Oh so it has to do with that the game isn't given the requred time to load all data? In that case.. Does the SD load faster or slower than the cartridge? And does this bug exist on the digital copy?

Exists in both.
Also, another fix for the physical versions is taking off the SD card and starting the game, effectively unblocking you. So you can save somewhere else then put the SD card back in.

What a bummer, I hope gamefreak is on to this and have a patch available soon. I mean it should be possible if you recall Mario Kart on the 3DS. It had an update to fix some stuff that enabled people to take cheat roates if im now mistaken.

Hello I am new in the chat, enter if you know if it will be possible play pokemon x and in emulator? Since the games also can reproduce in her 2ds, there are mas advantages of pirating them or of extracting an action replay for the zoomer or desmume?

There are no 3DS emulator existing to this date and wont be any in a long long time since people are still trying to figure out the 3DS's hardware. And we dont talk about piracy here.
