Hey, I'm looking for an app that will load the disc in the Wii's disc slot right away without any input. Something that didn't even show anything on the screen while starting up would be preferred. It would also be great if there was a way to redirect it to another app/channel if no disc was detected.

Any help or anything like this is highly appreciated. Thanks.

I did look into this but I found out that it only load Wii discs, no Gamecube discs. :/
I gotta admit that I like the idea, do you just want original wii and gc discs started up on your wii startup? If so I might actually do some stuff ;)
Yea, I would only use it for originals. If it's possible to make the homebrew app load a seperate different app if it doesn't find a disc in the disc slot that'd be godlike, because then I could set it to load to a usbloader or something for when I have my harddrive.

Alright, had fun writing this one:

It'll bootup your wii and gc discs based on my wiiflow code, if it cant find a disc or fails on something it will try to bootup the wiiflow forwarder, then the homebrew channel and then the system menu. Just install it to priiloader and set priiloader to autoboot that file.
Have fun ;)

Dude, you are too cool. Seriously <3
Where does it search for the wiiflow forwarder?

A little off topic: Are all the source files in C? I've always been a bit interested in creating homebrew for the Wii but haven't put any time into it.

I recently put a feature request up on open-wiiflow's googlecode. It's for an "optical drive" source in the source menu/sourceflow. The DVD drive icon could then be removed from wiiflow's pop-up menu, perhaps replaced with a catagories or sort button.
EDIT: I'm basically asking whether I should pursue this dol as an optical disc plugin, or if you'd prefer to do it from within wiiflow?
thanks
