Hi everybody!

So I'm having a bit of trouble with ripping games to my external hard drive. I've successfully installed USB Loader GX and can rip games from discs onto my hard drive. However, when it comes to actually playing a wbfs I downloaded online (my game disc broke) I'm having difficulty.

I've tried using both JWBFS and Wii Backup Fusion to do this, but neither have worked. I'm at a complete loss as to what I'm doing wrong. I need a program that will work on a Mac, but I can download anything you guys suggest. ;)

Could it have something do with the hard drive I'm using? I originally had it formatted it in a weird way which wasn't even showing up on my Finder, but I'm not sure if that was necessary or not. I ended up reformatting to FAT so that I could get the games on there, but now I'm confused.

Help!

I've got no idea what you could use on a Mac, but you say "Neither have worked". In what respect? Program doesn't open? Output file is too big? What does "it doesn't work" mean?

The only thing I can surmise is, without knowing anything about the problem or those programs, your output files are not being split at the 4GB mark, because you're not specifying that you need it split there. FAT32 has a 4GB file size limit.

Well, with Wii Backup Fusion I simply kept getting a message saying "transfer cancelled" before the transfer had even begun. I tried looking this up online, but there were no results sadly. And with JWBFS, the text simply blanked out after the transfer had occurred and I couldn't even read what was happening. I'm not sure if these are related to glitches in the software or if I'm just inputting something wrong though.

Thanks for the advice about splitting the files though! Maybe that was what I was doing wrong. I'll have another look. ;)

So this ended up working! I just clicked the 'Split' button to make the games split, even though the game I was trying to play was under four GB anyway. Thanks for your help!
