Gaming Harvest Moon: A new beginning

Looks like this game will be out soon in the eu, dunno why we always get things so late :S. Not played a HM game since mineral town on the gba, and reviews seem pretty good.

Found it for pre-order on game for only £22.99:

It's the easiest to get into, and the best we've had in a long while. (opinions, though)

If you get it, stock up on honeycombs in the first season. That's all I have to say.

IMO, the only drag so far is just the long tutorial in the beginning. If you can get past that, it is a good game. So much customization and what you can do in this game. And it's absolutely a much better game than tale of two towns.

Ive played lots of Harvest Moon in the past but since the first Rune Factory installment came out, i didnt touch any of the newer ones.
So is there something to gain by picking up this HArvest Moon over Rune Factory ? Well, ok the 4th one isnt out here yet, but still~
I always found Rune Factory more clever and better looking~

Just to say that RF4 is coming to Europe. Its been announced by Zen United but we are still waiting for the release date from them.

My copy probably arrived already, but since I'm at the university dorms right now, I can only go and get my copy of the game once I go back home this weekend (hopefully).

I dunno, I'll probably buy it for cheap, but somehow after all the last HMs which couldn't reach the level of greatness that was FoMT, I can't get myself excited over a new HM anymore.

The only other one which I found to be genuinely good too was Magical Melody for GC/Wii.

True, FOMT was great and the DS one was good too but the newer one's was just meh. Couldn't get into them.
It could be cause i started to play Rune Factory which is lot better than HM now.

The game was sold retail for 22£, that's cheaper than most old games. xP

This game is actually really good. The biggest problem in my opinion was the odd framerate. But after playing it for 10 min, you get used to it. Until you play a different game that is then go back to A New Beginning. Ha.
But seriously, definitely worth a pickup.

How does compare to FoMT? One item per inventory slot? That's my biggest complain with newer HMs, you just don't have that sense of growth the old ones had.

Nope, one slot for all the items of one thing. If that was clear.

The game is the best one in a long time. I haven't enjoyed any of them between the DS one and this one. Though this one does suffer from the usual too much time on your hand when you get further in.

Yeah me too!
And i think this is the first HM specifically made for 3DS, the other one was a DS port.
