Hacking Redeeming download codes

Hey guys,
just wondering if i wanna redeem a game code on my 3ds, i gotta update to the newest firmware and download it from the eshop right?

theres absolutely no way I can possibly redeem the code and download it through my computer?

I'm pretty sure that there isn't, but just confirming in case.

you redeem a game code, with the eshop (or even DOWNLOAD ANYTHING FROM IT)
and to use the eshop you MUST be on the newest 3ds FW

Well,

1. Give it to a friend or something so someone can use it

or

2. Update and hope whatever flashcart you're using will update (wouldn't count on it though)

I bet he has a gateway......but yes there is no way you can download on a computer seeing the content is signed to that specific 3DS sucks i know I want my 2 retail games back that I purchased on eshop
