3DS battery ran out while updating the DSTwo. I was kinda distracted so I didn't pay much attention to the blinking red light. Stupid right? Anyway, it's done and I'm gonna try to fix It. There is this fix:
1, you need a DS/DSL and another flashcart which can run homebrew (e.g. DSONE/R4/DSTT... etc)
2, download latest EOS and dstwoupdate.dat file which from the latest fireware of DSTWO
3, Run dstwo_load_NDSL.nds
rar.gif
dstwo_load_NDSL.rar (21.91 KB, Downloads: 1151) with another flashcart which can run homebrew (e.g. DSONE/R4/DSTT... etc) on a DS/DSL, then u should see this screen:

4, insert DSTWO (without microsd card!!!)
5, insert the microsd card which stores latest EOS and dstwoupdate.dat file into DSTWO
6, Press B
I don't see many people doing It and quite a few of those who do say that nothing happens after step 6.

I was wondering If anyone here went through this and actually managed to unbrick the DSTwo. Playing on getting a cheap R4i Gold and give It a go.

Cant say I have tried this myself, Though however I do recommend following the instructions to the letter on a fully charged DS / DSLite and you should be ok.

Let me know how it goes eh

Happily I do have access to an original DS so with a R4i Gold I'll be good to go right? Glad to see that I won't have to import another DSTwo. Seriously man, customs in Brazil ain't no fun, It can be up to 72% of the total price.

EDIT:
if its for real bicked dont zhuzhuchina replace dstwo or was that only acekard?
My country is showing up as USA, I'll change It later. I'm actually from Brazil so It will be either too expensive (fast international shipping) or too time consuming (cheap shipping can take 1~2 months, then he'll have to send It back. if I'm unlucky, that's 4 months.) so It's not worth It.

Should be from what I can see, and yea Norway's customs can be total arseholes too... like when I was getting a repaired phone sent back to me they tried to charge me 4x its worth and totally ignored the paperwork making it exempt from taxation due to being sent for repair (It was a Samsung phone if anyone was wondering)

It's a bit sad how even with huge taxes It's usually much cheaper then buying It here. I mean... look at PS3 at launch.

R$ 7980,00 = $3990. That's the 20gb model. Guess the $600 ain't so bad right? At least they were offering free shipping :P

I'm not sure If I can double post, but I got another question related to this.

Is there any reason for this R4 to not work with this fix? Just want to make sure I won't waste money. I found It for cheaper then R4i Gold and since I'll only use It to fix my DSTwo as long as It does that then I'm fine with it.

Man i live in Brazil and this is the reality here :\

For an example the Galaxy S3 at launch was R$ 2.300,00, wich in dollars would be U$1.500,00, the 3DS was R$ 1.000 (without any games), in dollars R$ 500,00.

That's kind of why we're on the top ten of countries that has more pirates.

Okay guys, sadly I'm having trouble at step 4. I've tested this on 3 different NDS, being 1 fat and the other 2 Lite. On DS fat, when you insert the DSTwo at step 4 the DS will either freeze or reboot, while on Lite It will reboot. Yes, I'm inserting It without micro SD. Any ideas?

Sounds like it's damaged beyond fixing without special tools.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol

So that version is semi rare
