First time i tried to join someone, i kept getting it over and over but iv had no problems since (I have downloaded version) however i have a feeling the game is a bit glitchy and a patch will come to fix that, believe me tho, you arnt the only one getting it. I did a search online and found a thread with about 100 posts about it, people with carts/downloaded and from all reigons so its not you, its the game.

If you wanna test another person's gate tho, im gonna open mine now. (Teren) Try and join mine and see if it works?

[Edit] If you're coming to my gate, please bring Green/Blue flowers (if they exsist) and an Axe for trade?

Kinda sick it's not working though. I did a complete working manual setup of wifi, after that I completely turned off the router firewall. eShop have always been working but not this

Read somewhere that the japanese version got a fix for it though.

Tried just restarting your hub perhaps? Not sure, I Had a different error code but turning it on and off again can be magical

Ok i need to shut my gate momentarily to add you (coz cant access home whilst online) but then itll be open again.

I have Cherries by default but ill be growing others however i have none to trade atm, my town is more about building stuff thats fun to do (racetrack, hide n seek ect ect) so if you've come to trade fruit, im prolly not the best option. However feel free to check out my re-sale or shops for stuff or join me fishing

Yes! QR codes put the patterns in your inventory/pattern space thing, and you can use them like normal ones. You just can't edit ones that weren't made by you.

Try switching the wifi option on and off.

try saving and quitting, turning your 3DS off and back on and load it back up

Using my phone to tether wifi seems to work.

Thoug it's still wierd since the firewall on the router is shut off.

So how can I make one?

it takes a about a week (7 days) to unlock the QR Code machine
talk to Sable everyday for 7 days and the QR Code machine should get unlocked, (it may take one more day)

that should let you make/scan the QR code

I got to head out IRL. But my 3ds is on the charger and the gate is open. Everyone on my friends list is welcome to visit. Pick fruit, fish, checkout my home ect. Just don't cut down any trees or take the flower from the front of my house. I'll be back in a hour.
