Takes about a week to get 100% mayor feedback. From there you can buy items for your town, and also change the town's ordinance.

I made my town wealthy so everything I or visitors sell to Nookling's is worth more. (Costs 20,000 bells to change it though. Ouch.)

Remember to talk to Sable every day so you can get the QR machine.

It's amazing how the island is broken. U pay 1,000 bells and if you do shit right u can come back with 500k in one trip.
