But, they DID give us SimsEA is simply the worst thing to ever happen on this earth!

I was very surprised by how fun PvZ 1 was, an absolute steal in the Steam sale (2 USD or so for that game, CRAZY)
I actually donated it to a few GBAtemp members, just because I felt that game deserved it.
Really looking forward to the sequel, can't wait what they come up with. I really liked the Puzzle mode too btw, well found and made (that Portal level :o)

That was before all the DRM fiasco. But, they DID give us Sims![]()

Damn, true that. Origin prolly, and not Steam? Very sad news indeed. On Steam it was a direct buy (since I can get Steam games cheaper too), on Origin..... not so much.Since the game is (most likely) being published by EA, the sequel probably won't be getting a Steam release. You know how much EA are Nazi's by now right?

I hope they do like they did with the first one and release it on every known device.Damn, true that. Origin prolly, and not Steam? Very sad news indeed. On Steam it was a direct buy (since I can get Steam games cheaper too), on Origin..... not so much.
Bad move by the devs, their loss

Steam and Origin are on the same device, PC. If it's on Origin, it won't be on Steam I fearI hope they do like they did with the first one and release it on every known device.

well PvZ is on both soo the fear is not that badSteam and Origin are on the same device, PC. If it's on Origin, it won't be on Steam I fear

It's much cheaper on Steam, they have more regular sales than Origin. And without such a sale, I wouldn't have bought PvZ, if I'm honest.I seriously don't like Steam... People over-glorify it, there's probably a cult where people have to provide virgins sacrifices to their almighty lord Gabe Newell. >.>
Anyway I have no problems with Origin or with EA, they should publish it on Origin and make people use their service. =3
Personally I loved the DS PVZ, so I'm hoping there'll be a 3DS version, it would look really cool on the Wii U's tablet controller too. =3

Regular prices on steam are more expensive than retail. The games I enjoy rarely have decent discounts on Steam, PC games are the cheapest to buy on retail, pretty much any new game for PC costs 35€ or 40€ at most retail wise, then there's store discounts, Dragon Age games for under 10€ among other things, steam isn't anything special since besides humble bundles, I can get it cheaper when buying physical. It's much cheaper on Steam, they have more regular sales than Origin. No, if it's on Origin, I won't buy it, and I won't be the only one I think.

Not here in Belgium. Physical stores rarely offer discounts too, and new PC games cost 50/60 EUR here in a store. On Steam it's around 50 too, but there are much more discounts on Steam (and you notice them easily too, unlike with a physical store where you have to put in more effort to see the discount, and then actually have to go to the store)Regular prices on steam are more expensive than retail. You do know that buying an actual physical copy in a game store gives MUCH less to the developers than buying them via Steam, right? Via Steam it's much much better for the developers, in the way of profit per copy. For those reasons it doesn't matter if it's Steam, Origin or whatever, they're all the same to me... And it's a way to support the publisher as well, by using their program.
People can complain about EA all they want, sure, they messed up sometimes, but I consider companies like Gearbox that swindle money much worse.

Dragon Age has been on sale for 6 EUR 4 times in the past 12 months, on Steam, just saying.
I guess the store prices in Portugal are cheaper because the average income of Portugal is less than in Belgium. Not to mention the financial crisis that is much more in effect in Southern countries than in Belgium.

EA is the worst for me, FIFA is a great example of how they earn TONS of money for basically changing nothing every year. It's not their fault their games are so popular of course, but it always makes me very sad to see those games sit on top of the sales charts, while better titles with much more time put in, aren't on top....

Anyway, Valve as a whole is over-rated and given way too much credit.

Plants Vs Zombies 2: It’s About Time has been unveiled by Popcap Games. The free-to-play sequel will launch worldwide on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch from July 18.
A press release sent to VG247 this afternoon confirmed that the game will be showcased at E3 next week and that while it comes with microtransactions gamers will be able to experience everything without spending a penny. You will be able to pay for in-game items however.
It’s a time-travelling romp that spans the past, present and future, across locales such as the Wild West, ancient Egypt and the pirate era. Players will also be able to buy goods and seek advice from Crazy Dave as well.
Senior producer Allen Murray said in a statement, “We’re confident that players will see the love and attention we’ve put into this game.
“We’ve created wild new ways to experience the plants and zombies you know and love as well as packing the game with tons of completely new content, and we’re still hard at work coming up with even more cool stuff that will keep Plants vs. Zombies 2 fresh and evolving in the months and years following launch.”
