Do you guys use mp3 files to have music playing in the background while looking for a game to load? I use this on CFG USB so I'm assuming it's a feature on other loaders as well. I used to have the nyan cat song but changed it to something a little more seasonal during Christmas. Currently, I have some mariachi music on there (in hopes that the kids will hurry up and pick a game already,) but I'd like to hear your ideas. I was considering something like Miles Davis' 20+ minute "Bitch's Brew," but that doesn't really pick up until about the 3 minute mark.

Ive always been fond of the Chip Tune variety....makes it feel Retro when browsing my emulators :)

Or my next best suggestion is the OC Remix site with Remixed versions of the Classics......these being my Favs

2.Yoshi's_Island_CrystallineCaverns_OC_ReMix

i use GX loader and i was wanting to know how to put songs into playing as background, i came across ICP Riddle Box theme, but my girls fave. is Great Milenko so yeah i was thinking of changing the theme and music.....

But no idea how

Chip tunes might be in order. I even remember some 8bit midi versions of Slayer songs floating around the web; might have to search for those. Sorry I can't be any help with GX loader.

^^^ yep, that should do it for GX. For CFG, put a file called music.mp3 in the /usbloader folder IIRC.

Btw there is a program called MP3 Cutter if you want to use it to trim the intro from the song Bitch's Brew you mentioned, and use that.

As for suggestions, i change a lot, but here are some IMHO good ones:

Chicane - Offshore

Megaman 25th anniversary chiptune
from 0.24 onwards, this is a great tune:

Beyond Good and Evil Soundtrack- Home Sweet Home

Robert Miles - Children

Perfect Dark - Pause Menu

PAROV STELAR feat. Lilja Bloom "COCO"

Goldeneye 007 : Wii - Official Soundtrack - Nightclub HQ

Flo Rida - Good Feeling

F Zero GX Night of Big Blue

Yanni - Nostalgia

SNES Waterworld - Attack 2

Waterworld (SNES) - Diving

i have many many more but those should suffice for now, i think. Hope you enjoy.

==EDIT==
Why do the links show up as videos? I'm sorry for any inconvenience, i posted just links, not embedded vids.

I never used the mp3 player in GX, but someone reported a bug when launching EmuNAND channels while a MP3 is playing.
I'll have to check this bug.

One neat thing about mp3s on CFG USB Loader, the music turns off when you're ripping a disc and turns back on when it's done. It's a nice little alarm if you need to leave the room or catch a quick nap as it's ripping. ;)

You can use multiple songs on CFG and possibly with other loaders too. You just set a path while using the configurator for cfg on your pc, set a path and throw all the MP3s you want in the folder. I use game music and some stuff from starship amazing but during Christmas I throw a few tunes from the album 8-bit Christmas.

Yes. I currently have 3 mariachi/ranchera songs in my playlist. Yup, I'm THAT dad. Hahaha!

Hi guys
I am using USBLOADER CFG 70r78.13
I think it's the latest one
I put small size 1.7mb mp3 file with name: music.mp3 but when I lunch cfg music won't play
I'm m sure path is true and my config file is true and in second line of config file I put true path all the other config lines applys correctly but still music file won't play its normal music with 128bitrate
What's my issue?

Wiiflow you can put music in one of the it's subfolders and it will rotate through them. I used to have "You got the Touch" from Transformers the Movie playing. : )
