This heatsink is actually good for overclocking, even at low, it has really good cooling performance for a very low amount of noise.

they use a 150w heat source, considering that cpu's tdp on the market vary between 45w and 125w, the results shown are pretty close to an overclock of the hottest cpu on the market.

If I decide to go for a high end gaming PC I'm definitely going with that cooler.

why not look into liquid cooling , thats what I use.

I'm calling bs on that, none of the reviews had it under 21C (avg was about 30C)

my main problem is that you are you spending almost $100 more then lets say a hyper 212 evo for very little extra cooling (were talking about 2C-4C give or take here)
these enclosed systems are barely any better then air cooling (some are actually worse) but tend to cost over 2x-4x the price

Its obvious you have no clue what you are talking about. Its all about ambient temperatures when comparing coolers. Thats why most review sites use delta measurements.

Please show me benchmarks where a hyper212 EVO performs close to an h100/h100i. The H100 performs about the same on average than a noctua NH-D14 or a thermalright silver arrow.

I assumed he wasnt using delta temps, just pure temperature

theres not alot of sites that compared the hyper 212 directly to the h100, majority of them just compared them to other enclosed water coolers

Im not saying the h100 is a bad cooler, its just over priced for what it does, just buy a noctra D14 if you are going to spend that amount of money and save yourself $40

i have a phantom nzxt i put mine at the top of the case. it's also got excellent airflow

u want a good, fairly cheap cooler but don't want the hassle of water cooling? try the corsair hydro h100 prob the best cooler i've ever tried and the results outstanding my cpu used to go near 55 deg C with my old cooler with this it never goes above 30 deg c even maxed on on high settings in games.

today I ordered an H100i for my 3570K that arrived just yesterday
I know that it wont fit on my case (Aerocool VS-9), I will have to mount the radiator outside the case just like this...

It doesn't fit into my NZXT Zero 2 Craft Series case .... Had to rig it in with zip ties
