Hacking R4i Question

Hello, i'm new to the community, and i have a quick question. I recently received my new R4i GOLD 3DS Revolution. I accidental updated my 3ds to the new version, so how long would it take for some one to post the new updated files if needed? Or is it safe to download the kernels prior to the update 5.0?

What do you mean by Original icon? According to the 3ds, it's Ver.5.0.0-11U

I don't get an icon, i'm assuming an icon when i insert my R4? I still haven't even taken it out of its case

Alright, so should i just load up all the firmware and try and see if it works then? (new to all of this)

I'm assuming this is the r4ids.cn card, so put Wood firmware on a micro sd card from here (first download link on that post), along with some games you want to play, and you should be fine. I'm assuming the card was preflashed for the previous 3ds firmware update, since it appears to be a very new one.

That's the exact one I was talking about, and if you bought it from there it should be preflashed.

After i pasted the files from the dlink you sent me ( i already formated the sd) i'm stuck on a loading screen, what do?

The contents of the Wood_R4_v1.57 folder are in the root of the card right?
Example: Drive X:\ _DS_MENU.DAT

Yeah, every file in that .rar is in the micosd.

Maybe the firmware isn't updated as well? If not where would i obtain that file? Tried this one site but all the links are down for it.

I tried adding this with the kernel http://filetrip.net/nds-downloads/f...r4ids-gold-official-firmware-151c-f24763.html and it passes the loading screen, but just goes black afterwards. Help?

If the firmware wasn't up to date the 3ds wouldn't boot it, it would tell you that an error has occured, etc.
The thing should boot with those files on the root of the card, I'm unsure why it wouldn't.

Tested it, R4i Gold 3DS can support the newest 3DS Ver.5.0.0-11 ( as long as your card support V4.5.0-10 before) directly.

I finally got it to work, i tried to download the kernel again from this site and it worked http://www.r4ids.us/r4i-gold-3ds-download.html. One quick question, when the .nds files come with icons for the game, can those also be sent to the card?
