Hi, I'm gonna buy a new 3DS and i heard that recent 3DS model has a very bad Yellow tint on the upper screen since the last year's price cut, i dont want buy it, so can we spot the difference between the pre and after price-cut 3DS model from the boxes maybe? thanks :)

I can assure you that all post price cut 3DS' aren't yellow screeny.

My Fire Emblem 3DS which was bought within the last 2 months has no "yellow" problem.

they all the same apart from larger screens on the XL's

No reason to buy now, great games are coming so you should wait from them before buy. And you have no reason to buy an earlier version of 3DS, it is all the same, and you cant get ambassador privileges anymore. (unless you buy it used)

I don't think it was a rumor, per say. Just a bad bunch of 3DS', which are most likely already gone.

really depend on ur luck
and very rarely to happen
another reason to buy 3ds now is a LOT of good games released and upcoming!
not like shitty vita

if you use google you will see the only 3DS's that seemed to have this issue were Spanish systems
must of been a bunch that affected Spain only

i need consideration:
1.) Buy a used system with ambassador certificate (+10 GBA games) + no yellowish glue
2.) or buy a brand new cosmo black model with some chances of getting bad yellow tint

I would suggest the ambassador one. The ambassador games are great!
Otherwise i doubt you would get a yellow tint, and keep in mind the Pikachu 3DS XL is coming out!

-_- did you complete ignore my posts then about how it only affected a small amount in spain only?

No dude, i have just seen a midnight purple 3DS on my local store and guess what, the screen looks TERRIBLY ugly with those yellowish-urine

Maybe this isn't useful to you, but if you plan on buying a 3DS XL soon, and you buy either Luigi's Mansion or Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, you can snag another game for free with Ninty's latest Fantastically Sort-Of-a-Good-Deal Promotion!

The 3DS XL might seem like a dumb choice at first, but it has has marginally better battery life, fixes a horrible design flaw of intermittent prevalence, and it's still portable! Honestly, I wish I had bought one instead of a regular 3DS in retrospect. But, that's just my opinion!

None? You need to research what games you want to play on the system, if any. Other people's opinion are their own taste. May I consider you looking into a PS Vita since you are asking.
