^ Nice.

I have a black one like that as well with brand new black shell casing. Just waiting in a week or two to get my AGS-101 back lit LCD screen kit + custom ribbon. Looks nice as heck.

Funny, I also 'tuned' my display next to my GBM ;)
And I also made two GBA's, one black, one purple, but I ordered another black casing just in case (they are really well made, can always use a spare one in the future since i'm using my GBA so much now with this display..)
Where did you buy the glass lenses? ebay?

Yeah, the cables have gone through a few revisions. The newest 32-pin cables have nice little notches to line them up in the GBA shell in order to take the guess work out of placement (which can be a bit tricky to get perfect so that the housing closes perfectly). I'll post a pic of the 32-pin connector so you can see what I mean.

He works in a place that builds circuit boards and this sort of cable, so he has access to board printers and such, which is why these looked so damned nice. I know his plan is to worked towards a completely manufactured product if/when he sells enough of them. I know I'm doing my part to help him toward that end ;)

If i play games on my modded GBA, the green led starts flickering red, or stays red a while, then goes back to green etc..

Maybe it's just an issue with rechargeable batteries in general but could it be an issue with the modded GBA ? (due to the solder points, more draw of current for the lcd?)
Is there already any information available on this subject?

I've just bought a dead AGS-101 in a repair shop to obtain its LCD because the AGS-101 that I'm using is not mine... I got this for just 4.00USD.

And its done!!!

To those who are finished installing the LCD kit from Zhang, have you guys experienced some fitting issues during the installation?
Hey KipMudz,
what AGB-001 Model did you use for this mod?
I´m curious because i´m currently experimenting with an original AGS-101 screen and the brightness is completely over the top when used in the AGB-001.
With the screen from Zerey it´s working well.

Dang, zerey is sold out of the glass lenses right now, so if any have any to spare, I'd buy one from you.

And a last shot for the mother fans: :P

Oh man, this looks gorgeous. I'm about to get rid of my backlit spice gba, and make an all black gba, hopefully with a set of black buttons from wiggy (and bumpers and shoulder buttons, if he casts them).

Did you try adjusting the POT?

I did a mod of my GBA to put backlight with the adapter ribbon cable(40 pin) and a SP screen. It's all OK, but when I stay playing for 15 minutes less or more, the screen shows interferences like you can see in my photos: http://www.mediafire.com/?rid23155a95251s
Anyone can help me? Any idea about the problem?

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
