Android Gamepad Help/Advice

I'm considering getting it but I cant figure out how to install the controller driver. BTW the driver can be found here...

The Play Store page says that the driver needs to be installed via terminal emulator but I have no idea where to begin (as far as terminal emulator goes). I have been trying to get my 360 controller with work with my tablet for a few weeks now so any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a JXD s6600 and yes it's rooted

edit: NVM. Not sure about that app, but I think USB OTG should work if the game has an option for gamepads.

I tried the provided host cable and whilt it works well for a keyboard and mouse, I cant seem to get it to pickup on my 360 controller. I believe JXD neglected to stick in the controller driver just like they did with Bluetooth

Update. I went ahead and grabbed the app (heck it was super cheap). The app does not appear in the launcher or drawer but instead acts as another keyboard in the options menu. As for the rar file (the driver) there is a folder named joydev.ko and in that folder, a file with the same name as well as a txt file. Now here's my issue. the instructions say to place the "joydev.ko" file in a place called "/lib/modules/". The problem is that I don't seem to have a place called that. If I go into "/system/lib/" there is no "modules" folder there are four folders, "drm, egl, hw and soundfx". There is, however, a "module" folder within "/sys/"

Once I can find the right place for this file I'm then instructed to use the terminal emulator and insert the following command...

insmod joydev.ko

If it helps, I'm running Android 4.0.4

The directory isnt under /sys/, its under /system/lib/modules

ok so in the terminal emu I tried

"insmod joydev.ko" and i get insmod cant open 'joydev.ko'

when I try "insmod /system/lib/modules/joydev.ko" i get failed (operation not permitted). I wonder if its a superuser situation or if im using the command wrong :/

Sorry to gravedig but did you ever get the problem sorted? Yes you need to have root to insmod.

I'm currently trying to get a controller working with my Chinese TV Box, and I'm getting a "init module exec format" error. Seems that the version of joydev.ko needs to be specific to the Linux kernel version you are using?

Never got the issue solved bit it's on the backburner these days.
