The few of us that are waiting are gonna be rolling around in our new $16 Vitas in about a month if this all turns out for the better. :psp:

I'd fucking love this to be legit, but I have no way of comprehending how it COULD be. This guy must follow a LOT of trucks waiting for things to fall off of the back of them.

That seems like a fair response... perhaps I overreacted. i hope that I didn't anger the seller by accusing him of fraud and it turns out its legit. That would be a heck of a deal to miss out on! I never really had this kind of think happen to me on ebay so the panic buttons lit up quick. ;-)

I understand, in researching this issue, I also came across this:

" I sold a new in the box Sony bluray player and in the listing I used some if Sony'a marketing info (cut and pasted from their website, though with no hot links). After I shipped the item to the buyer, eBay sent me an email canceling the listing. The best part is that my final value fees were refunded! But my account was otherwise unaffected."

It seems that eBay has pulled listing before that are legit. And as I said, I believe eBay pulled this guy because he was probably reported as suspicious by multiple people. The items he was selling could still be real. I mean I still have my doubt, but this actually isn't any more doubt than what I had when I first bought it and the page was up.

Even if I get some shit knockoff console. I have a few different kinds of those laying around my room, namely the EGP001 and the PMP1000 (I think that's what models they are, I played with each for maybe ten minutes). I bought those KNOWING they would be knockoffs, and likely garbage.

My biggest fear is just not receiving anything.

The more I think about this, the more this feels like I am wishing for a magical lamp with a genie. Firstly, the fact that this thing has free shipping is strange, how is the seller going to make any money on these transactions. mailing things to canada from China can cost upwards of $10 regular posting. that leaves him a profit of $5.99 at best...

also, how come he kept adding units for sale before the posting went down? It never went below 10 units yet the orders kept going up from 197 to 222.... something smells fishy big time!

That anyone could have believed for a second that this was real is mindboggling.
Also, the price of entry for this dubious offer was cheap... $16 so the people who paid didn't necessarly believe, they just thought that they had nothing much to lose. Don't confuse naivety for curiosity...

Just wanted to apologize in advance though if it does turn out to be fake though guys, I didn't mean for any of us to get scammed if we did.
Don't worry man. Everyone who bought it knew what they were getting into and were prepared to take the risk. $16 gamble. Pretty worth it I'd say. :)

Well, I haven't receive any email saying the product was shipped. Did anyone receive one of those?

Also, it is my impression that if the seller account was closed maybe he won't ship them now, even if this is real... Maybe I'll wait a couple of days and open a disput...

I am not mad, thanks for giving us hope xD

No worries. And even if it is fake, it's not your fault. If its real though, I bet everybody's going to throw a party in your honor. Lol

Just a heads up, I opened a claim with PayPal, and it seems the seller responded to the claim with a tracking #. It is from one if those Chinese shippers so take with a grain of salt, but it seems like he is making an effort to keep his account so we'll see if the Vitas come in!

made a new account and upped the price.

If all the previous good feedbacks weren't legit, he didn't take the time to make up more this time.
Tracking numbers sound encouraging.
If price was cited as a reason why it was suspicious, raising it a bit means more profit and SLIGHTLY less chances of getting account nuked.

Oh, and only showing an image of the game this time makes the price seem to fit better. :P
