Dunno if it's the right place to share this .

I just want to share my EXP

I live in Syria Arab republic .
if you hadn't heard of it, it's a war zone country now .
there a huge revolution going on here .
and we have nothing of the life essentials
no bread , no fuel , no gas , no water for most of the day
and no electricity
I'm a 30 years old guy , work in a bank ,
and i only have my 3DS now ,
all i can do is playing with my Nintendo handleled the whole day .
no one can walk the streets after 4 PM
army , snipers , soldiers everywhere
it's the real Call of Duty here
I never had that free time , but now i'm just beating game after game and I wait for the Electricity second by second so i can charge my DS and play again
my device is on power saving mode and lowest brightness all the time
I forgot how pretty the original screen colors were
and when i get the chance i surf the net and read about the WII U wish i can only dream of now
citizens here aren't getting Visas to any other country
all i can do is staying here and downloading new 3DS games when i can and charging my batteries for an hour a day

i think im a really nintendo game gamer fan after all .

Good luck bro, hang in there. At least you have the luxury of gaming in these times and i bet many others don't.
The idiot below needs to die a horrible death.

About all I can do here is wish you luck in making it through. I should note that some fairly basic electronics (which you might even be able to pull out of a dead device) can make things like a mintyboost http://www.ladyada.net/make/mintyboost/ or other voltage converter- the DS only needs 5V which is fairly easily made from many things and common enough to have loads of voltage handling devices make it.

This is video games at its finest: Providing an escape into fantastical adventures, when real life just gets flat-out too difficult to bear at times. I wish you the best of luck. :)

Know that feel. :(
Life here isn't as bad as it is over there but it certainly isn't a walk in the park either, thankfully though the situation is improving(ever so slowly).
I remember when there used to be 3-6 bomb blasts a day, the curfews, the firing, the killing... Schools, colleges, universities would be closed and taken over by the army to be used as base camps.
But then again, this isn't about me.
You're doing a great job by getting a break from the harsh reality surrounding you, and it's heart warming to know that a gaming console is what's to thank. I am pretty sure Ninty would be proud to hear that one of their creations is helping you through this difficult time.
Good luck. Stay safe, stay strong, and most importantly, stay alive.

Aw man. Good luck. Stay strong. At least you're able to enjoy your time a bit, trying not to think about the shooting and all that.
Stay safe, i wish the best for you.
