First I get a faulty Gamepad charger, now I see a stuck pixel on my Gamepad's screen. Any chance it might fix itself? Because I already know my Gamestop wont let me return at the moment...

If it's dead it'll just be black. If it's stuck it'll be stuck on some color. You can always try rubbing on the screen a bit in that area, but there's a change that the touch layer will be too firm to actually press down on the LCD.

You could always try running a stuck pixel fixer off of a website/youtube, depending on the WiiU's web capabilities.

My Gamepad charger was dead and already had to do that, could barely talk them into giving me another charger to use till my replacement comes.

Either way after some looking it looks like this might be a somewhat common issue, in the manual it even says that 1 pixel is considered normal for this type of screen. Still....it sucks though <_<, 1 day out of the box and a dead pixel, yet my 3DS and Vita are fine after ages.

Just go to the fucking Gamestop and say its faulty and if they won't listen then make a scene there.
I hate those Gamestop faggots....

I don't know why people tend to have so much trouble with gamestop, the two near me never give me issues

And when the manual says that one pixel being dead is normal, that is excuse for cheaping out on the manufacturing.

Mine never did before either, but they just pissed me off today. Literally couldnt even play my WiiU since my Gamepad died, wouldnt let me exchange consoles, and the only suggestion they had was "Buy this 29.99 charging stand".

Either way, gonna mess around with it a bit tomorrow and see if it might be fixable. Wish the youtube app was out so I could try one of those flashing videos.

For almost all LCD screens, 3 or fewer dead/stuck pixels are considered an acceptable manufacturing tolerance and are as such not covered under warranty.

Problem with buying at a game store is there's a higher chance that the employees would know that than if you bought it at a big box retail store. At those places, all you need to do is walk in and say "Yeah, the screen on the gamepad is defective" and if they press further, "a small portion of it doesn't work". What are they gonna do, plug it in there and try it?

Of course, you could also definitely go and try it at gamestop too, but the problem right now is that nobody has the WiiU anymore. They're all sold out.

Yeah, I'll just have to deal with it for now, nothing I could do about it anyway. Still, its just really annoying to not have just 1 but 2 issues on launch day. Though....I feel worse for those people getting bricked consoles and dead consoles right out of the box

I've got a stuck pixel too (I think). It appears white but at one angle it sort of looks red. It's so damn small but I can't stop thinking about it. I called gamestop and they did say that they have a 30 day defective exchange policy... I'm just not sure if they would be willing to accept this as defective...and also they have nothing to exchange it for. I would probably rather have no system and my money back than an imperfect system, though I'm not sure that's an option.

It's absolutely the worst thing about tech these days. And to be honest, on a relatively low resolution screen like on the gamepad, it shouldn't be acceptable at all.

If it was a 1080p or retina display then I can kind of understand because of the difficulty of manufacturing those screens, and of course the pixels are difficult to see. But on this it's unacceptable really in my opinion, for Nintendo to allow any dead ones. I'm going to be buying mine from the local supermarket so I can take it back no questions asked.

Are you retarded? How is it gamestops fault, unless they dropped his WiiU on the fucking ground. They didn't manufacture it or ship the product to themselves. Gamestop is the LEAST likely culprit for the faulty shit. He likely can't go to gamestop now because they have no WiiU's to exchange. He could easily get a refund if the console is fucked, but then he'd have no WiiU at all. Or wait, it's gamestops fault the WiiU is popular?
Also using 'faggot' just makes you look like a bigot asshole, so good job there.

This blind gamestop hate is such a joke. You look like such a moron.
