Hi guys,

I got the Just Dance 4 for my wife and I'm running with problems here.

I'm using the NTFS partition for this game because WBFS file is greater than 4GB and I don't want to get errors on spliting files (like I got on Metroid Other M).
I got all games on FAT32 partition except for those that is >=4GB. Those I put on NTFS partition.

I'm using a Seagte 3TB USB 3.0 external HDD and all games of Wii that I tested runs great.

But Just Dance 4 keep on a black screen with the "Reading disc...", and I tested the PAL e NTSC versions.

On my flash drive (using NTFS) this game runs fine. So, why I got this message just on this game using my external HDD?
And more important, how to fix this?

Burn it on a disc or just try it with WBFS file :P
And use WII Backup Manager http://www.wiibackupmanager.co.uk/

First convert it to WBFS and make a map named WBFS in the root of the HDD(not 100 % that the map needs to be in the root)
You don't need to format the HDD.

Hi, Thx for the reply.

I'm already using WiiBackupManager to use sbfs file on my External HDD.
And I'm using USBLoader GX to load the game.

Thx.

It could be the drive itself.
Someone else is having a similar problem with The Last Story, it doesn't work in split and non split, in iso and in wbfs, on FAT32 and NTFS. (I don't know if he tested a WBFS partition)

The bigger HDDs gets sometimes disconnected, maybe that makes the problems.
Try to find a 8 GB USB Stick and try loading from it.

I am also having this problem but with neogamma r8 beta 50, can anyone explain to me how to fix this?

Hi afterdeath15,

I'm wondering if this is the APM feature of my Seagate HDD.

And unfortunately there is no software (from Seagate or third party) that can turn off this permanently on the firmware of the HDD.
Maybe upgrading the firmware. But have to remove the HDD from the closure to update this and then conect it to the sata of the computer to upgrade.

I'll search more and see what I can do.

A good feature on USBLoaderGX will be an option to send a signal to the HDD to turn off the APM.

Maybe this can fix my problem on running just dance 4 and most important, fix my load problem on GC Games.

Try WiiFlow v4.0.2.
He have thread for IOS58 mode which reads a random sector from the usb hdd every second if
the hdd is more than 20 seconds idle to keep it alive

Hello,

@DabiddoJ4 :

How do you play your Just Dance (original disc, external hard drive, USB keys) ??

Is your hack up to date? , to know how to post a syscheck report, following this guide ==>https://gbatemp.net/threads/posting-a-system-check.300279/

All Just Dance starts base 57 with USB LOADER GX.

Thank you.:)

Just Dance 2019 (NTSC) runs on 249 (Base57) and 250 (Base56) on my PAL 4.3 Wii with
Game Load Settings:

- Video Mode - Force NTSC
- Game Language - English

BUT with the Issue:

Every time when you start the Game it says:
Save cannot load/File corrupt.

Then I have tried cIOS 222 Base 38 (hermes v4/v5) with that it works.:)

I have looked through the Just Dance Games now and have different results with USBLoader GX v3.0 r1272 now:
(I do not played the Just Dance games since 1-2 years....)

Runs only now on cIOS 222 Base 38 correctly:
2017 PAL
2018 PAL
2019 NTSC

Runs only now on cIOS 249 Base 57 correctly:
2016 PAL
2015 PAL

Runs only now on cIOS 249 Base 57 correctly with Game Load settings:
- Video Mode - Force NTSC
- Game Language - English
2014 NTSC

And on ALL Games NAND EMULATION in Game Load settings is TURNED OFF.

Have fun now on Dancing with your Wii.:rofl2:

Just Dance 3 PAL - cIOS 249 (57)
Just Dance 4 NTSC - cIOS 249 (57)
Just Dance Unlimited NTSC - cIOS 222 (37)
Game Load settings:

All Just Dance starts base 57 with USB LOADER GX.
Now I can't post my syscheck right now, but I use DarkCorp and boot my backup DVD with Disk Channel or External Hdd (USB Loader GX). Now I can play from HDD but DVD don't, the healthy warnings didn't show up just the "Reading Disc" then black screen, this just happen with Just Dance 2019.

Know my problem is that I format my HDD to NTFS (before: Fat32) to play my Just Dance WBFS sized more than 4GB because FAT32 can't storage files with more than 4GB (3.99GB). The problem is that USB Loader GX detect my HDD but doesn't show my games, I'm using the last build of USB Loader GX with forwarder channel.

I'll post my Syscheck later

Good evening,

put your external hard drive in FAT32, and manage your games with "Wii bckup manager", him ==> "wii backup manager" will correctly place your games on the external hard drive.

"Wii backup manager" handles very well the files of more than 4GO.

Do not copy, paste your games on the external hard drive ==> risk that your games are misplaced the external hard drive (so corrupted).

To try ==> launch your Just Dance 2019 with usb loader gx by the HBC, and result ??

What is your disk (capacity, format, usb2.0, usb 3.0, brand) ??

DarkCorp ==> I remember that this homebrew deeply modifies the system of the console, possibly causing malfunctions. Up to you !!!:teach::unsure::huh:
