Gaming Pokémon Black/White 2 (E, U) AP Thread

Has anyone had an issue with the GTS? I was able to log into wifi, get Genesect, trade pokémon with a friend, and do the Global Link game sync stuff just fine, but trying to log onto the GTS for tradings gave me a BSOD. Using White2 on a DSTwo.

i believe that event pokemon are hard scripted and cannot be shinny unless cheating... that also makes the starters imposible to be shiny

Starters CAN be shiny. Event ones can't. In-game specials (such as legendaries) kinda depends. For example, in BW, only Reshiram and Zekrom can't be shiny iirc. Btw, since we have a discussion thread now, this one will be solely for AP so yea.

Victini couldn't be Shiny either...
Also, if you have Shiny Pokémon mod code on when Bianca teaches you to catch Pokémon, the game will freeze.

The game would freeze on me when I tried doing Unova Link, yet every other Wireless feature worked perfectly.
Only way I got it to work was to try the rom in Clean mode. Did you try that with the GTS?

I still can't get White 2 to save on YSmenu, the game just freezes.

So I'm trying to enable challenge mode BEFORE starting the game.

I used an AR code that works (on desmume), saved the game, and attempted to convert the save file to .sav to use with my dstwo, but it doesn't work, I get a runtime error. Also my savefile is... 8 freaking mb long? why?

Is there a way of using ar codes on dstwo, or has anyone successfully done something similar to what I'm trying to do?

Tried re-downloading the rom, same issue as before. It only runs if I use "patch" mode, and everything works fine except for the GTS Negotiations feature - the Random Matchup and regular GTS are both working. Sucks, 'cause I adore the GTS negotiations, it's one of my favorite new features from Gen V. My DSTwo is updated with all the stuff linked earlier, so I don't get what the problem could be.

Working on DSTTi with latest RetroGameCart. Rom tested: White 2 (IRDO 012AF769). Challenge Mode code also working through usrcheat.dat

Now, looking for other codes, especially Instant Shaking Grass

Y- yeah. I assume everyone who got it working is just off playing or something. Too bad I didn't check the GTSN before, haha. It didn't even occur to me the rom could be selective as to what online feature to have working fine.

Use a patched rom, highlight it in the EoS menu, press X and go in Clean mode instead of Patched.
