well, that makes sense. but, i had it all working fine before i made this new nand... maybe something to do with how the cfg files are made or something.
We can't really expect you to deal with compatibility with betas, lol!
If you do, that would be great though!!!

postLoader 4.0.9 (via online update)

* fixed another neek code dumps
! note that postloader is unable to ISFS access to /sneek/nandcfg.bin in latest neek2o betas

the black screen (dump) is (should be) fixed. Anyway postloader can't access to /sneek/nandcfg.bin file that contains nand index and names. So will not able to switch nand and will display "root" nand even if the current is another one. I need overjoy to fix this.

Thanks fo the update stfour,
just tested neek2o.
Having in mind that OjY recommends a neek without priiloader, and nandcfg.bin nandpath.bin are no longer supported too.
Launching via neekbooter in priiloader and copying wad contents to pl_n2o should not be the standard method (this can be kept though for neek2o rev 88-)

I recommend having the option to select old neek2o 88- launch method (neekbooter/priiloader/PL) and new neek2o 90+ in wiiware setting
the new method launching method is similar to neek2o channel only difference is that neek2o auto-launches the game on startup via a sys file.

+1 for allowing access to nandcfg.bin because you'll be able to launch WW from different nands.

Also pl_n2o path should be customizable to save disc space

way to go :)

Afaik nandpath.bin and dipath.bin are no more supported. nandcfg.bin is created by neek2o also in r92. The problem is the file access, can be opened but it can't be readed. I think that any homebrew will have the same problem ;)

I will start looking latest neek2o this evening
Nice stfour and thanks. I don't plan to update to r92+ neek2o until PL4 and neek2o play nice together ;-)

If they can't get along I'm good with the current setup I have with r88 cuz everything works for me with PL4. I don't like breaking things unless I'm testing.

neek2o versions over r88 should be considere as wip. Overjoy is adding a lot of really nice features but he may change things from days to days, so any new version may break compatibility. I've talked with him and the nandcfg.bin problem is due to a new file locking technique. We should have a r93 soon that would allow me to parse again the file via ISFS and allow to change and browse nands on the fly.

Ok...
testing PL4 and neek2o 93b2
PL can modify nandcfg.bin now and launch pln2o nand :)
however Overjoy is recommending not to use priiloader
Wiiflow neek2o mode working great and going back to WF on neek nand upon exit.

So I recommend the following:
1. keep current neek2o option this can be used with all neek2o revisions
2. make a new neek2o+ option similar to that used in WF not requiring Priiloader/neekbooter only for neek2o 90+ (93+ to be specific) - exit game & back to PL can run PL on neek nand via FW channel
3. optional but handy: allow custom path for neek2o nand (other than pln2o that is)

Abz :)

Yes is true, with latest neek2o 93 there is no need of priiloader even if it works... I think I will have a n2o93 fully compatible version in some days.

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone can walk me through getting Postloader4 to run from my USB hard drive. I built the NAND using ModMii with the Postloader forwarder and placed the app folder on my FAT32 hard drive's second partition (this partition also has USB Loader GX.app on it), but the forwarder is still looking for the SD card and is refusing to boot from the second hard drive partition. I placed the NAND on my hard drive's primary (first) partition. Help would be appreciated. Thank you,

I wasn't aware that neek supports partition other then first active fat32.

Which version of neek2o are you using ?

can anyone help me my gc games freeze for dios mios in postloader but work fine for usblaode gx. The dios mios screen is where the game seems to hang.
You should select DM version in GC mode (in GX it's selected automatically) if you're using latest DM press Home in GC mode and select DM 2.2+

If you can boot the game then this is a DM issue and should be discussed in the appropriate thread

stfour, I've just had a long conversation with zfa, and he's helped me get postloader all up and running. I'm really happy with everything it can do! However, there are some emulator issues that might need fixing under v.4.0.9:

- I downloaded the plugins off the postloader google code website and added them to my ploader folder accordingly. Trying to boot a virtual boy advance GX game "Pokemon Leafgreen" results in a black screen with alternating rainbows. Trying to boot :donkey Kong country 64" under wii64 results in an Exception! error. Do I need the wii64.dol in the apps folder as well as the plugins, or just the plugins? I've tried both ways and I've still encountered these errors.

- I really like the wii theme for postloader, but I wish there was a way to change the default rounded letter font to the wii menu/USB Loader GX theme font. Is there a way to do this?
