Wut? I read a couple days ago that it was slated for a PC and next-gen consoles release?

Whatever, it looks awesome and I love the MGS series. Is this Big Boss? The eyepatch makes it look like it is him.
If that's the case, this game takes place in 2000-2010 of the MGS timeline

They mentioned Paz, Chico and various other people and things from Peace Walker implying it is indeed big boss. This game will most likely show events that lead to Metal Gear I'm guessing.

Damn, I have yet to play Portable Ops and Peace Walker. Those are the only two canonical games I haven't played yet.
Better get started some time, as I friggin' loved MGS 1-4

Portable Ops is passable but Peace Walker is a must-play.

It was shown playing on a PC so maybe the PS3 graphics might be lower and Peace Walker should not be missed for sure.
