This topic is to compile a list of games that can be played on Wii emulators Such as Dolphin, without the use of a sensor bar.
Most people do not have a means of acquiring a sensor bar, and therefore do not know what games they are able to play through emulation.
Before I go on, I am going to list a couple of alternatives to a sensor bar, so that you do not have to waste your time only playing non sensor bar games.
Two methods I know for a fact that work, are the disk method, and the candle light method, demonstrated in the videos within the spoiler below.

Now then, here is a current list of games that are confirmed to work without the use of a sensor bar.

Bleach Versus Crusade
Bleach Shattered Blade
Castlevania: Judgement
DragonBall Z Tenkaichi games.
Dokapon Kingdom
Excite Truck
Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn
Guitar Hero Genre (Guitar Play confirmed working, other instruments not confirmed yet)
Just Dance Genre
Kirby's Return to Dreamland
Kirby's Epic Yarn
Mario Kart Wii
Madworld
Mortal kombat armageddon
Michael jackson the experience
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Naruto clash of ninja revolution 3
New super mario bros wii
No More Heroes 2
Rayman Origins
Rockband (Must have USB attatchments, all instruments work if they are USB attatchable.)
Skyward Sword LOZ (Need to calibrate at the beginning of the game, use the disc method, or use mouse to calibrate.)
Sonic colors
Sonic Rush
Sonic Unleashed
Spider man shattered dimensions
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Super Mario All Stars
Tatsunoko vs capcom
Xenoblade chronicles.

Please, if you have tested any games that are not on the list, you can post them in this topic and I will add them to the list.

Skyward Sword doesn't require a sensor bar, if you're using a MotionPlus controller.
Seriously? Is this the same for twilight princess? Also, I thought the sensor bar was used to aim the bow and hookshot?
Twilight Princess doesn't use Wii Motion plus, you should be able to use the control stick to aim in SS and TP (I think)

Nope. It's just the direction the controller is moved in. You can verify this by playing the game on a Wii with your arms underneath a blanket. It still works.

Actually, that's not true. It does require a sensor bar on the very first screen to calibrate MotionPlus. You know, that message where it tells you to point at the screen and press A. It may only be this one screen, but since you can't get through it without the Wii recognizing your WiiMote pointing at the screen you technically need a sensor bar to play the game.

If thats the case, I can just use the disc method for that one screen. But thank you for pointing that out.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
