It's a fun part of the show, even though it's small. Then the animators give us a present, so to speak, which they had to remove. Sure, the show is still fun to watch, but it's a shame they had to change it, just because some parents thought it was offensive. One problem is that people seem to blame Hasbro / the animators for changing Derpy to "normal", while you should actually blame the parents for not getting a simple joke.

But oh well, they said Derpy will stay in the show, just as a real background-pony

Honestly though, I don't even see her as a present. The fandom found her, picked her up, gave her character, and THEN hopped in the producers lap over it. That's not a present to ourselves, that's a present to them. Good thing they saw the potential and put it to use, regardless of how the scene is enacted.

Besides, the scene actually makes more sense with a girl voice anyways.

Watched the Season 2 finale on Saturday. It was pretty epic. I had my doubts with it being about a wedding until I realized they took a chapter from good ol' Disney. The songs were some of the best of the show too.

Now......for the long wait till Season 3...
