He did not say there were none that made sushi... he was implying that you cannot get mad at them if they do not.

Getting mad at theoretical physicists for not curing diseases is like getting mad at an Italian restaurant for not making sushi.
Um, I've been to an Italian restaurant that made sushi.

A lovely exception I'm sure, but it's an exception nonetheless. Anyway, the menu options of restaurants really isn't the point here.

So there actually is a mirror world?
Younger me would be impressed.

That's kind of a hollywood way of looking at things, but still not impossible. My suggestion of other universes mainly relies on crap getting sucked through black holes and you have a separate grouping of matter on the other side. Basically, not mirror.

I always wonder why we keep researching the impossible.
Yes, we will find another particle and yes we will find the higgs boson one day, but after that we'll just be trying to find what created that and so on.
We can research everything to infinity, just to find an infinity to research.
Just like we have this thing we call the universe, but is that really all there is, is it just like a glass ball?
But the universe is expanding and it can't be expanding into nothing, meaning there is more than this universe alone.
And physicists have there theories about that, like this universe isn't the only one this one was created by two clashing universes, but then what created those universes?
When you try to comprehend all of this, you will get more respect for religion, because isn't so much easier to think that there is a creator who created all?
But then again who created him, did he just pop up.

I like to think everything is like some infinite loop, as long as you zoom in far enough you'll get back to where you started.
Zoom in at a cell, an atom, a proton, a quark, and keep going...

Maybe our whole universe is just a little particle from a much bigger world/universe/omniverse.

Thinking about all this just makes your head spin and makes you realize how insignificantly small we all are considering how much is still out there to explore.
In the end I think it's just easier to just be and don't think about it all.

Aeter, at the end of the day, you have to realize that critical thought, analysis, and just plain stupid ideas are simply entertainment for some people. It's fun to try to figure something out even if you know you can't possibly ever do it.

But then again who created him, did he just pop up.
The only real answer to that is that God always existed. If he made time, there wouldn't have been any time for him to be made beforehand, no?
Yes, but in the end people want proof, which there will never be, so I might as well say that the all mighty creator was a gummibear and no one could prove me wrong.

You could, but that wouldn't be nearly as likely as the most surviving historical document of all time, which has been validated again and again by geology.

Guys come on...don't change this into a religious debate, please. This is an interesting topic about there possibly being another universe just like us, not about who created the universe first.

It's a fascinating discussion, but debating the validity of any God or faith isn't the topic at hand.

Why is there no section of the forum for that?
Because the "debates" end up nowhere, like every single thread there has ever been on the Temp about it. "I believe in this so you're wrong" "Well, I believe in that so you're wrong" isn't really a debate.
