Well, you know I bought a JP 3DS. Here's the problem.

The seller asked me to keep my old 3DS charger since he is using the 100V Japanese version with a transformer.

I used my old charger on the console, it was a little rough to plug it in and it could not charge (the orange light wasn't there).

I took out the charger cradle and plugged it in. It was a little rough as well, but the system charges.

I contacted the seller and he bought the set from Play-Asia. He said that he had no problems with the set when plugged into the 100V charger.

I'm now very confused. Is it a system fault or a charger fault? Be mindful that my charger is a third party one (cheap ones made in china) and its not officially approved.

Can someone help me out? It's pretty urgent.
Thanks :)

why was your charger 3rd party?

id see if you can try a friends charger

the charging slot itself might be damaged as the cradle uses the 2 prongs rarther than the slot

edit*fixed it
I got it together with my US set. It worked okay with the US set (wasn't that tight, but the charger burst after 2 months and got a replacement)

Well, could this be the cause? He said it was alright with his 100V charger. Haiz.

He seems trustworthy enough and maybe I can go over and try it on his charger.
Prob is I don't have a transformer or I'll swap chargers with him.
