? Oh. You mean when he EATS A SHELL. Not automatically. Plus, we don't knoe how many there will be in this title. If its a low amount then I'm cool with it but it shouldn't be like every 3 levels they stick me with one. The ORIGINAL I liked but these honestly seem cheap to me. Also, I'm not saying that you can choose one over the other, I'm saying that if I'm playing and I see Baby Yosho being able to fire bubbles that turn shit into coins, I'm going to avoid giving him enough to eat to grow into a bigger yoshi and to me it defeats the point of even having Yoshi it feels like they could have just made bubble Mario or something and called it a day.
Unless there was another trailer I missed, there's nothing in the trailer that insinuates that baby yoshi appears in every freaking level...
When did I say he did? I said IF he's NOT in levels often then its alright, but if he's distributed like Yoshis were in NSMBWii then its way too cheap and way too much.

He won't be; that would be frustrating and, as rare as I say this, stupid.

If you didn't assume that, why were you upset in the first place? I'm not trying to flame, I'm just legitimately confused.

I'd agree, let's say that he were cheap, even then, if he's a rare asset...well, what's the problem?

Ok, finally you guys understand. I just think they made him cheap that's all. I wasn't really upset about it, I just ment that if he was as common as a normal Yoshi or even replaced him it would just be flat out stupid. That's all. Sorry of I didn't make that clear the first time.

oh god! HUGE quotes, no spoiler tags, pointless discussion.

The fact is "NEW Super Mario Bros" is a style of game, every "NEW Super Mario Bros" will be the same way. It is just like Final Fantasy Tactics, is a kind of franchise inside the franchise (like mario kart, like mario galaxy 1 and 2).

I fell comfortable with this game on eShop, but I cannot agree to this game as a full retail game.

If you read my posts you woudn't say this bullshit!
I was asking for better graphics,
for new power-ups,
for yoshi,
for original and new elements(like what WiiU did)

All I said could be easily done by Nintendo!
Nothing Impossible or out of the NSMB style!

For me, NSMBU looks outstanding while NSMB2 looks a Ctrl c Ctrl v of DS version!

He grows after he eats enough. He uses his powers by eating. Yoshi does the same as the previous statement, and he also runs faster than Mario and allows Mario to use his abilities/makes use of Mario's abilities. Because of those three statements, he's effectively less...effective than Yoshi.

I really don't understand the disdain, here. There's no reason to avoid having him grow since...well, if you do, he won't do anything, you'd just be holding a useless Baby Yoshi.
-sigh-
Ok, before we continue I have to know if your talking about World or not. I'm not talking about World. I'm saying this based off the Wii U trailer for it. I'm saying the fact that BABY Yoshi, in NSMBU can use powers that the grown Yoshis could, right off the bat that makes Baby Yoshi cheap. If he's not common as a grown Yoshi its one thing, but if its going to be like hatching baby yoshis to make grown ones its just impractical to bother with even trying to actually grow hkm to a full one.
So then, tell me, exactly how does Baby Yoshi work in U? How do you use it, on which conditions can its powers be used, how does it grow, and what are its cons and perks. If you can fully describe any of those without using any "SMW" knowledge, well, I'll be surprised.

:/ Just re read the post. This is getting stupid and your not getting what I'm trying to say.

I read the post, but I realized, this isn't even a matter of subjectivity. If you can't explain that to me, then you've proved that you're going off of pure conjecture, and there's no discussion for that, it just becomes plain idiotic ignorant babble.

I guess he is saying that in SMW you had to make yoshi grow to use it's special ability,
now you don't have a reason to do this, since baby yoshi can already use it's ability,
and for him, it makes not worthy to make yoshi grow up, and take out the fun of yoshi :D

Your acting like its going to be exactly like Baby Yoshi from World. And I'm not saying by any mean I know exactly how he plays. I said that if he can use an ability right from hatching that the grown form can. He's cheap. You agreed with me. I didn't say this intending it to be come the ignorant babble that it is now. You thought to contradict an opinion as if it was a fact turning it into this. What basis do you have to say a title like NSMB wouldn't be that cheap? Your not going to tell me that NSMB and NSMBWii weren't also casualized like that. I cant explain how it will exactly work, not based off one trailer. But I'm saying that this one trait of it in my opinion makes it cheap. You don't argee then that's one thing. But don't bager me about how the freaking Baby played in World and claim its going to be the exact same, ok?

Actually, I'm not doing any of that, so let's dissect this.
Your acting like its going to be exactly like Baby Yoshi from World.
Nah, this is true. Or rather, it was, until:

So then, tell me, exactly how does Baby Yoshi work in U? How do you use it, on which conditions can its powers be used, how does it grow, and what are its cons and perks. If you can fully describe any of those without using any "SMW" knowledge, well, I'll be surprised...

Which wasn't an insult, by the way, I was talking about the discussion as a whole, not a specific person.

And I'm not saying by any mean I know exactly how he plays. I said that if he can use an ability right from hatching that the grown form can. He's cheap. You agreed with me.
This contradicts an earlier statement, where you said:

Man, I hope Mini yoshi isn't in this version. I mean, I was going to grab the WiiU version for my little bro and me to play but... mini yoshi... so damn cheap.... uuuggghh... I guess ill grab this one instead if it doesn't have that which I doubt.
Notice that there's no word to make this statement a supposition; right now, it's simply an opinion. Similarly, I said:

I'd agree, let's say that he were cheap, even then, if he's a rare asset...well, what's the problem?
I was agreeing with VMM, saying that, "If he truly were cheap and he doesn't appear often...well, why be so against him?"

I never stated anything as fact that I couldn't back up, and that's still true, I didn't actually refute what you said factually. Instead, I only verified things that could well be seen in the video and info that from NSMB1, even if I don't currently stand completely by all of it:
He grows after he eats enough. He uses his powers by eating. Yoshi does the same as the previous statement, and he also runs faster than Mario and allows Mario to use his abilities/makes use of Mario's abilities. Because of those three statements, he's effectively less...effective than Yoshi.

Nor did I say it would be the same. There were implications that it would be similar, but that was it.

Well, that was fun, like a court case with no clear winner. Anyway, I have a website to work on now. Thanks Zantigo, I knew I picked the right person to discuss with.

Not sure if you are a Ace Attorney fan

Don't be put off by my Legend of Korra Avatar. Since I joined here, I not only had the Custom Title "GBAtemp's Official Ace Attorney", but I also had some type of Ace Attorney avatar (barring 4 avatars that I had very briefly, this being one of them). I freakin' love Ace Attorney.

...So yeah, the former :)

 but... I wasnt... sigh. Whatever, nice discussion I had you to :D

The game looks identical to the DS game.
I'm not a graphics whore, but the 3DS could definitely handle visuals on par with the Wii version.
