Hey guys!
So I have been playing pokemon Black and I wanted to enter the Dreamworld to get more pokemon, and it gives the following error: " The access point's security settings are not supported by the Nintendo DS."
What I wanted to know is if this is because I'm playing it through a flashed cart, I have an Acekard 2i.

Thanks

Have you ever used the internet before on the 3DS with/without a flash card?

Yeah, that's probably why. Buy a legitimate cart and you'll be able to connect to WPA/WPA2 access points.

Actually that's not true. All DS titles only work with WEP regardless of whether you're on a flashcart or not. I have a legitimate Pokemon White game, and recently my dad switched our house's internet connection to WPA. As a result, I could no longer use Wifi on my DS lite.

ALL DS games DONT support wpa/wpa 2. you we'll have to change your router settings to wep for it to work.

exactly. he can use a flashcart to connect to wep. doesnt need the actual game.
Well duh. The point is, he can't connect with downgrading his connection's security or else he wouldn't have been getting this error.
" The access point's security settings are not supported by the Nintendo DS."
So to connect to a WPA/WPA2 access point, HE NEEDS A LEGITIMATE CART.

I just tested a minute ago with my DSl. It doesn't work on WPA.

We're in the 3DS forum right now, aren't we?

You said it would work if he used a legit card. I used a legit card. It didn't work, same result with my 3DS. Stop giving bad info, kthxbai.

Well clearly you're doing something wrong. I played Black and White online on my 3DS with my WPA2 connection.

Pokemon Black and White are not DS games, they are DSi games.
Thus they can play WiFi on WPA/WPA2.
