Three days remain! Will the Neo Ge Pocket's fans come in droves to thump the Game Boy Advance? No... no they won't.

At this point carrying on waiting is pointless - the GBA won. It won on Day 1, everybody agreed to that. I don't see why we should wait 3 more uneventful days rather then moving onto the next round.

You don't hold many competitions / contests do you?

I can understand that every single round should take exactly the same ammount of time to give all the competitors fair chances, but here we're pitting snails and turtles againts a cheetah, or do you not see that?

Rules of fair play, we're kicking dead horses y'know. ;)

Plural? Really?

He lives in Poland, former Soviet Union. You give him some leeway on the whole democracy/ polling malarkey.

Very funny.

In any case, games like table tennis feature rules that allow players to win by means of an overwhelming lead in points - it's not uncommon.

I'm going to punch whoever voted for the Game Park square in the noggin.
Why? It wasn't THAT bad, although it did lack commercial releases. It started a nice trend of homebrew and emulation oriented handhelds, I think it deserves some recognition.

Not that it deserves a vote in a "best the whole generation" poll, but still. ;)

Well we know there are at least two:

Guys, why are you voting for the shitty Game Boy Advance? The thing was a brick of trash and didn't have ANY good games. Golden Sun, MOTHER 3, and Warioware were all crap and this thing should rot in the firey depths of a jelly-like hell.

That being said, it got my vote.

Well now! Wasn't that a doosy of a poll?

For some reason the GBA was declared winner. I think it was a bit of a mistake. Maybe I should redo the poll?

Here's how our brackets stand as of now:

Join me soon in another thread for the next poll! Who could it be? Who will win next round? Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!

1. Magnavox (because Nintendo was busy making cards at the time)
2. Atari (because Nintendo was busy making cards and running a love hotel at the time)
3. Nintendo
4. Nintendo
5. Nintendo
6. Nintendo
7. Nintendo
8. Nintendo

Looks like fair, accurate and unbias results to me :creep:

If people vote Gamecube > PS2 then I swear this forum is full of morons.

The Gamecube wasn't bad but the PS2 was the fucking PS2.
So far the PS2 is in the lead, but not by much. I mean, the PS2 sold more then all of its competitors together - that means something. That said, so did the PS1 and it lost.

There was a Nintendo console in the first round (a Pong clone), but I think only 1 person voted for it.

It's a fair poll (I give equal weight to each console/handheld), with accurate results (it tallies one vote per person). The people who vote bias the poll because that's what the poll is determining: People's bias. I could have gone through and just told you who the winner of each round would be based on sales, or highest rated games but that wouldn't have been fun (and Nintendo would have dominated most of the rounds anyway). This poll could have shown that the Saturn was the most loved console by the folks at GBATemp, and even if it was, who cares? Because the PlayStation didn't win, does that mean that the PS1 is diminished in your heart? No. Complaining because you're favourite console didn't win is a useless endeavour.

It's just a goofy little poll. Don't let the PS1 haters get to you. ;)

Nobody gets me, I just find it amusing that people tend to manage their memory in direct relation to their feelings to a given company now. :) I don't particularily care for the results of the poll, I have my own ranking as you said. I treat this as a social experiment that describes the... So-called "population" of the temp. I'm not criticizing your job, you put a fair amount of work into this and your descriptions are fair and usually accurate. Keep up the good work and don't take my nagging to the heart - I only nag because I find this an interesting subject, well-worth discussing. :) By the way, wasn't that TV game Japan-only? Many users probably never heard of it, hence the result.
