football. not the soccer ball it's a ball shaped like a triangal.
"triangal", really? I weep for the future

besides, an american football is shaped more like a rugby football (which is something an aussie could relate to ;)
Yes, a rugby shaped ball is the only post that actually made sense explaining American Football.
Had a look on YouTube, that game makes no sense at all

Most Americans don't have a really good taste in games... Only good games in that list (imo, that is), are Skyrim, GoW3, Assassins Creed and Batman

Just because other people have different taste, they don't have good taste. Inorite!!
I wrote imo didn't I?
damn people don't understand me, tch

You first said most americans don't have a good taste in games
which is what he is replying to, just because YOU don't think they are good games doesn't mean they aren't good games

i think assassins creed, god of war and batman are shit, doesn't mean i regard people liking them for having shit taste.

Just for comparison, the Japanese list (data came from nintendoeverything.com, who probably got it from Famitsu, so take it with a grain of salt maybe, bolded titles are from nintendo consoles, I presume):

1. [PSP] Monster Hunter Portable 3rd – 968,269
2. [DS] Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 Professional – 469,469
3. [PSP] Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy – 454,522
4. [PS3] Dynasty Warriors 6 – 443,873
5. [PS3] Yakuza of the End – 376,193
6. [Wii] Donkey Kong Country Returns – 368,527
7. [PSP] Dai-2-Ji Super Robot Taisen Z Hakai-hen – 364,881
8. [PSP] Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity – 352,511
9. [Wii] Wii Party – 349,951
10. [PSP] SD Gundam G Generation World – 332,278

I can see people getting just as upset over this list. Japan has their own regurgitated crap just like we do, go figure that some people can't get enough of it.

edit: at least they have a little variation though, hahaha... of course that all depends on how they did their numbers - no cross platform games

I like the Japanese list more, as I like Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Yakuza, Donkey Kong,Phantasy Star, Super Robot Taisen and Dynasty Warriors.

I'll admit, JD3 was pretty good. Better than 2, IMO.

And of course Call of Duty MW3 would be the #1 seller.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
