Who thinks Wifi/online multiplayer should be a standard for multiplayer games? It makes me pretty frustrated to see local-only 3DS (or NDS) games in 2011/2012 given that the systems they're played on. I'm still not over the lack of online for Star Fox 643D or Four Swords.

His complaint was when portable games that have multiplayer only have local multiplayer. That's a vlid complaint, as the multiplayer exists, but is heavily restricted.

I'm sorry but can you please tell me at what point I called him a fanboy? I simply commented that what he said sounded similar to what a fanboy of the xbox kind would say. If he is one there's nothing wrong with that. And am I supposed to ignore the fact that the only current gen system that possesses a large library mostly based on online multiplayer is indeed an Xbox? At what point did I even mention the stated fact? All I said was that I basically half-agree in my way. And who are you to say what arguments are valid or not?

Trying to start shit with out people for no reason will get you banned much faster then

Its got nothing to be with a fanboy... Its got more to do with "why can't I find another fucking human being in this world that carries their DS/3DS on them in person?" type issue.

The only time I ever got to enjoy local multiplayer was with the Metroid Prime demo that came with the original Nintendo DS, and that was only during school lunch hours, and that was maybe only twice. I've since then graduated and haven't seen a single Nintendo DS or 3DS in public other than my own. I've met people who said they owned a DS, but never anyone who had one on them at the time.

This is a basis of my reason when I think all multiplayer games, especially in this day and age, should have online multiplayer. Its got nothing to do with Xbox, or Vita, or PSN, or whatever. I've still yet to play the multiplayer levels on New Super Mario Bros DS. This is about having the type of fun thats with others, than the type of fun you have yourself.

Have you even played Star Fox or Four Swords by yourself? Fucking awful. It also couldn't hurt to have more co-op games like Crystal Chronicles.

I think there are some exceptions to not have online multiplayer modes when local multiplayer exists. For one, if there isn't a whole lot of multiplayer content in the first place. SF643D comes to mind in that category. As much as people say it should have had it, I think it should only if it offered more than what was given.

With consoles local multiplayer is fine since it can be done on a single unit, but with handhelds it's more difficult to set up as you need two units and two games (excepting download-play, which has traditionally been limited).

I'm a bit confused how I can agree with someone yet still be attacked. I never had the issue of not having anyone to play with so I can kind of understand that point but still I don't think Four Swords would have been fun online (specially with all the indirect ways you can kill your partner, and the Rupee penalty has never stopped me from doing it.) And there's many other games that didn't need it. Therefore I think to say something like "All Multiplayer games should have online." is something that someone who mostly/only plays online (In this case a Xbox fanny) would say.

Why didn't you just SAY people could misread it rather then attack me about sharing my opinion, and fucking reread my posts. I agree with him. Just not completely.
